Itarnar, officially the Republic of Itarnar, or Treèb Itarnar in Itarnese, is a country at the south-western tip of Antarephia. Not having been colonised for any part of its history, Itarnar is left with numerous aspects that set it apart from states with Ulethan influences. Its largest city and capital is (TBA), in which the majority of the state's institutions are located. Governance is generally centralised, though largely out of convenience, regional governance is generally highly technocratic and focuses primarily on the utility of those regions to the greater population rather than governing the population within them. Traditionally being nomadic hunter-gatherers, the Itarnese peoples still maintain a culture of mobility and travel. Modern Itarnese culture, however, is generally highly insular, this is reflected in the economic, military, and political dealings of the state, where independence, defence, and self-sufficiency. Itarnar is a highly secular state, however remnants of ancient non-theistic animist/spiritualist traditions still remain.
While it is known for its rugged terrain, particularly along the western coast and the south, it also features rolling hills dominated by farmland in the north. The Itarnese peoples historically were a loose collection of hunter-gatherer clans that roamed between these plains and the harsher southern lands. The northern and north-eastern portion of the country are located on the Southern Antarephian PlainsIt borders [...].
