Selanya's physical geography will consist of flat plains in the lower southeastern and southern coasts and a mix of farmlands and forests near its southern border. There are rolling hills and small mountain ranges in the northern and western regions of the country (the elevation will be 2,000 to 4,000m) The climate is mixed temperate, and it is warm during the summers and cool during the winters. During the spring and autumn seasons, there is heavy rainfall and during the summer it is more humid and dry with limited rainfall. During the winter season the temperature sometimes goes below 0 and snowfall rarely occurring in the lowland regions. Map of plan:https://ibb.co/L0ZGbW2

| A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Population:64 million people Selanya's economy runs on the extraction of raw materials including mining and natural gas extraction, agriculture also plays a prominent role in the economy. However, this is slowly evolving as the government invests in new jobs and green energy. Selanya is quite developed and rapidly evolving into a modernized first-world economy (currently similar Panama or Malaysia). 75% of the country's population lives in urban areas. Infrastructure is well maintained in the country.
Selanya's government is a unitary semi-presidential republic with the parliament being elected every 2 years while the president is elected every 4 years. The parliament is bicameral.
Many of the cities follow a grid system similar to that used in former British colonies and that used in Northern Japanese cities (e.g.Sapporo).
| History & culture | |
|---|---|
| A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Selanyan culture is akin to the culture of Tungusic peoples, the official language spoken is Selanyan which is a conlang loosely based on Tungusic languages (I haven't developed anything regarding the language yet). Alongside Selanyan around 87% of the country has a high proficiency in the Ingerish language.
Selanya began in the 13th century as a group of tribes uniting together to form a tribal confederation, most of the country was nomadic during this time. However when the Ingerish discovered the region in the 15th century and slowly colonize the area. During this period, many of the tribes that live there begin moving towards agricultural practices. The 1805 Selanyan revolution leads to the overthrowing of Ingerish rule and the establishment of the new republic. The country mostly remains poor well into the early 20th century when economic progress begin with the discovery of natural resources.
The Ingerish colonial government tries to convert the population to Christianity however only 12% of the population is Christian with traditional shamanistic beliefs being 45% of the population, Buddhism is practiced by 25% of the population and the rest are irreligious or atheist.

| Discussion for clarification & decision |
Hello R1V1AN, thank you for your territory application. Your concept for UL32f fits in well with the plans for the wider area and are both original and believable. There are a few points I'd like you to address before being granted this territory, but until then it is reserved for you. These are:
- You've placed a considerable number of edits a month ago near Silversea and another handful of edits in recent days. It is difficult to tell what mapping is yours. Over the next few days and weeks, please provide some examples of both natural/rural and urban mapping "from scratch", ideally in the style you intend to use in your future territory.
- You speak of peaks between 2000 and 4000m. Please indicate these mountain ranges on your map, as they will considerably influence the climate of your future neighbours.
- You state that the people of the country have high proficiency in Ingerish, but speak a Tungusic conlang. Please clarify
- If you have some knowledge already of Tungusic languages
- What language and what script you intend to map in (please test if the script you intend to use is rendered on the map properly)
There is also one minor comment I have. It is not necessary for the application's sake to address that, but I'd encourage you to think about it anyhow:
- Based on your plan, a population of 64 million seems rather high. UL32f has a size of 110,000 km2, that would mean a population density of 580 inh/km2, similar to South Korea or Taiwan. As your plan emphasises agriculture and ressource extraction as main sources of income, a much lower population density seems appropriate. But you can adjust that estimate as you develop your country.
All in all, I very much like your concept and would love to welcome you to East Uletha soon. I'm looking forward to your reply! Best, Leowezy (talk) 10:56, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
