Hamidiye is a country on the shore of the Sea of Zumrut, bordering the Demirhan Empire to the north and Alora to the south. It is constituted of one small mountain range that splits the country in two, and as such has played a critical part in the demographics of the country. The nation has many rivers present with two notable larger ones, and a medium-sized river flowing through the capital city of Hamidiye. The Border River forms the southern border with Alora, and has been the historic border of the Imani and Christic worlds and is a major water source for the region.
Off the coast of the mainland in the Zumrut Sea, two main islands are present.
The climate of Hamidiye is that of a dry, coastal region, with the mountain chain affecting rainfall and general weather patterns, which in some cases results in a proper Mesembric climate.

Main Demographics:
Three main ethnicities make up the vast majority of the Hamidian population:
- The Turquese are the majority ethnic group in Hamidiye, however they differ from the Turquese in Demirhan in the way thatchy remain very culturally similar to how they were many centuries ago, retaining their older language and traditions as opposed to the modern society across the border.
- The Ashani are a large minority in the East Mountains and a majority in the north-east, near the Demirhan border. They are a mixture of OGF:Persians and the Turquese. They adhere to the OGF:Sunni sect but have traditions similar to the OGF:Shia sect of the Imani faith, and are found in both nations. These people often campaign for their independence, and many wish to be joined to Demirhan to be reunited with their fellow brethren across the border.
- The Yughuts form a minority population in the north, and do not play a large role in day-to-day affairs in Hamidiye. (OGF:Uzbeks)
Economic development:
The country is economically developed for the most part with interests in industry, agriculture, and religious tourism.
Infrastructure:
The country is connected by rail to all main cities, and two major highways cross the nation. Rural areas have minimal infrastructure as opposed to the heavily developed capital.
Mapping style:
Very similar to the Turkish style of mapping with differentiation due to cultural split. For example, one of the cities in Hamidiye will be mapped in two separate styles because of a different period of growth as a result of war.

The name “Hamidiye” is derived from the name of Sultan Abdulhamid II of Demirhan that reigned until 1821.
After his death, his successor Mehmet VI initiated major reforms in the Empire. One of his brothers who was more conservative was opposed to the changes and branded Mehmet VI as illegitimate. As such, the brother was crowned the true sultan of Demirhan and took control over the area comprising modern-day Hamidiye.
Due to these actions, Hamidiye continues to use the language of the old Demirhan Empire (Hamidian, Hamidian Turquese, or classic Demirhan), and is far closer to the other Imani and Mazanic nations as opposed to the Demirhan Empire. Hamidiye did not take part in Turquese expansion and colonisation, and followed a peaceful approach centred on religion and state growth. It has a notable positive relationship with Mazan, who it considers the true source of Imani religion.
Some conflicts have occurred in recent memory, such as when the Ashanis in the north and west rejected being part of Hamidiye and wanted to join the Demirhan Empire to be united with their brothers across the border. Because of this, civil wars in that region are unfortunately more common than normal.
During the last century, the country has moved to become an elective sultanate (monarchy) whereas the country has become more democratic and more involved with the greater world. It continues to consider itself the actual legitimate government of the Demirhan Empire, and denounces the current government in Tarsinar as false.

| To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful. | |
| The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL. |
