Lingne, officially the Republic of Lingne (Lingnish: Republiken Lingne), is a nation located in East Uletha. Lingne lies on the Ostau Island, and borders the nation of Ostau to the west. Lingne is otherwise surrounded by the Nordig Sea to the north, the Scythian Sea to the south, and the Lingnian Bay to the east. Lingne has a population of about 4 million, and its capital and largest city is Flausmunn, with almost 1 million in the metropolitan area. Lingne is a unitary parliamentary republic that divides powers between the government, the parliament, and the judiciary. Tyring Rohmssen (A) is the Prime Minister since 2023, and the President since 2021 is Emma Flaumark (A). The presidency is largely a ceremonial role, with some influences over foreign policy, whilst the Prime Minister is the leader of the government, and elected by the Tingstaug. Elections to the Tingstaug are held every 4th year, with the next one scheduled to happen on 29 May 2027. Presidential elections are held every 7th year, with the next one scheduled to happen on 14 November 2028. Lingne is a member of the [[East Ulethan Organization of Intergovernmental Associates ]], and it is also a member of the Assembly of Nations.
