I plan for plains for the north, west, and east area of Heigetochi, and mountains towards the southern area. Various creeks and different small lakes will be dotted around the south and east. However, the northwest will be mainly flat or hilly plains, suitable for a large city, inspired by the flat land in Sydney and it's mountainous surroundings. The climate is a humid subtropical climate prone to potential monsoons. It is planned for Heigetochi to look something like this. https://postimg.cc/sQf7Fnvw. Farms and smaller villages are not shown but will be present throughout the state.

| A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Half the population will live in large cities on plain and hilly topography. About 1/6 will live in mountainous villages in the south. The rest 1/3 will live in agricultural and forestry industry aligned villages dotted around the area. Poverty is present more so in rural areas, at around 40%, than in urban areas, at a comfortable 9%. Skyscrapers litter the city downtown, which contrasts the quaint and humble single family suburban homes and the small mountain huts and farmhouses of the rural areas. Public transport is a top priority in large cities, while roads are usually worse maintained in rural areas.

The intended language is Japanese in all of Heigetochi. The main religions would include Buddhism and Shinto. The culture is Japanese, more specifically, Hokkaido culture.

I am a new mapper. I have not mapped a lot, however I have made a town/small city in the blue new mappers zone, called Strongwell. https://opengeofiction.net/#map=14/11.4302/-113.6432&layers=B. The coast and the hilly/mountainous terrain in Runswarm matches planned coastal and mountainous themes in this area.

- Hello, axaeve.
Thank you for your application. As one of the main mappers in the area (Izaland), let me add some comments/concerns on your application. 1. You said that you would like to use Japanese in this area, which is suitable for it. However could you please tell more about your Japanese language knowledge and proficiency, especially concerning place names? 2. Can you explain more what you mean about "Hokkaido culture". I am sure you know that nowadays Hokkaido is the result of what Japanese people from Honshu did by pioneering it at the end of the 19th century when it was still just inhabited by the hunter and gatherer Ainu people. Also, Hokkaido does not have typical historical and cultural heritage such as the other parts of "Old Japan". So I would rather see here something closer to Taiwan or Kyushu and Izu islands culture, also considering that Hokkaido is located pretty north. --Izaland Terramorphing Committee (talk) 05:08, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
