Error creating thumbnail: Physical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. With the exception of Beginner territories, you should always create a sketch map to illustrate & explain your plans. You can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

This is a mostly low-lying country that is quite forested at the western part of its mainland, with that section of the mainland containing the country’s low hills. Those hills are where the few large rivers of the country originate, flowing to either the north coast or the south coast. There are several islands on the north side of the mainland. It has a subtropical climate with a monsoon-influenced climate, and has mild winters and hot summers.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

This country enjoys a very high degree of socioeconomic development, just like its neighbors. The people tend to settle along the coast, with a substantial population centers: the biggest on the north coast of the mainland, and others on the southern coast of the mainland and on one of the larger islands. The economy, being well-developed, is oriented towards industry and services, and the mapping style will reflect well-developed East Asian economies, such as Japan (particularly Kyushu/Ryukyu), as well as South Korea, Shanghai, and the Pearl River Delta. While the centers of some large cities are fairly walkable, transit around the country will be oriented mainly towards cars, but a prominent rail transit system will exist in the country. Around 18 million people will live within the country’s borders.

The country is a unitary, semi-presidential republic. It has a unicameral legislature, popularly elected every 4 years with legislators elected for a maximum of 5 terms, who then select the prime minister with an election among the legislators. The executive is popularly elected every 4 years, along with the legislature, serving a maximum of 3 terms.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

The country’s culture will predominantly be based off of Nihonese [Japanese], with people speaking a slight dialect of the Nihonese language known as Shimizuan, with Izaki-language influence in the northern islands. The main religion, apart from some Nihonese folk religions, will be Budicism, although a plurality of the population will be irreligious. There is also a prominent Christic community, particularly in the northern islands.

Like the rest of the Axian Peninsula, the land was initially occupied by various Nihonese kings, who unified slower than their eastern neighbors due to the many isolated islands present in the country. Eventually, in the 14th century, the Kuroishi (黒石) Kingdom, a powerful kingdom on the mainland, conquered the island kingdoms under the reign of King Akimasa (明正), unifying the country under one kingdom for the first time. Shimizu remained relatively low-developed until it began industrializing in the 1910s-1930s, investing heavily in manufactories, railroads, and ports. The monarchy remained until 1968, when it was deposed in a military coup, where the leader led the country until his death in 1989. Shimizu then underwent a transition to a democratic republic with a new constitution, which it remains today.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful.
The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL.
