Please fill in the information below to make a territory request.
File:Noun Project Signature icon 619326 cc.svgTerritory ID and proposed name
The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

Territory ID: AN150f

Proposed name: Sinfonian Union (Commonly: Sinfonia) (Native Name: ᖡᙱᐹᕂ ᑳᑦᔭᖅᓀᖅᑦᑯᑦ , commonly: ᖡᙱᐹᕂ)

File:Noun Project Map icon 1463108.svgPhysical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. With the exception of Beginner territories, you should always create a sketch map to illustrate & explain your plans. You can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

CLIMATE

Map: https://imgur.com/a/E88b1q4

The proposed climate of AN150f could be considered cold and continental in nature. Areas closer to the coast would be rainier, hence justifying a climate type defined as Cwb in Wladmir Koppen's Climate definition system. Inland, we see the domination of Dfb in the warmer north and Dfc in the colder south. Some mountainous areas are defined as Ef polar.

TOPOGRAPHY

The proposed topography of AN150f would see the majority of the territory covered in mountains, with some valleys defining the map. The coastal regions however, would be flatter and more fertile.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

FIRST LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE BOUNDARIES and POPULATION DENSITY

I'd split AN150f into six separate provinces, each with a different cultural identity. Three would be more mountainous, rural and poor, their economies would be based heavily on oil reserves and mining, as well as forestry, the three coastal provinces however, would be denser, richer and more based on tourism and fishing, as well as their own (albethem smaller) oil reserves.

MAPPING STYLE

As for mapping style, it would probably end up being a West Coast Canadian / French mashup, trying to find a happy medium and trying to tie in well with neighbours.

File:Noun Project languages icon 105908 cc.svgHistory & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

CULTURE

I'd be going after a Norweigian-Ontarian cultural vibe, with more modern American influences, and the nordic, cold and port based culture of Norway. For a native language, I'd be trying to implement Canadian Inuktitut, hence the chosen native name, ᖡᙱᐹᕂ.

HISTORY

Each of the six provinces are members of a union, where each member state formerly was its own soverign nation before they met together in 2009 and decided to come together under their shared language and similar cultures and histories. Since, the nation has gone through a large bout of reorganisation and nation building to become a modern nation making a name for itself. Prior to the union, several of these provinces were warring ones, even amongst each other, which although peaceful now for hundreds of years has led to many border disputes between the provinces.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful.
The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL.
