Please fill in the information below to make a territory request.
Territory ID and proposed name
The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

AR120-73. I'm not sure what to name it, but my biggest ideas are New Castelle, (for the northern area) Uintah (for the forested mountains along the border and through the middle), and Crimson Plateau (For the red Rock country throughout the South). Let me know if you have any better ideas.

Physical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. With the exception of Beginner territories, you should always create a sketch map to illustrate & explain your plans. You can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

Virtually the entirety of the place is steppe, except for the mountains scattered throughout, which are alpine. There is a mountain range along the east border, another one along the southwest, and one cutting through the middle, east-west, with smaller ranges around. The rocks are almost entirely red sandstone and related, similar to the Colorado plateau. My Sketch:[1]

Human geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

Most settlements are along the coast and the feet of the mountains. The northern settlements are Spanish in origin, while the southern ones are English and German. There are numerous eastern-European mining towns, however. I'm thinking I'll probably divide it into a Tennessee-Grand-Divisions-esqe system for the North Steppe, the Mountains, and the Red Rocks in the South.

History & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

Historically, the first non-Indian settlement was along the north coast. The Castellans created a series of missions near the coast, but never ventured inland due to the aridity. The first inland settlements were created by Archantians who moved north to try to avoid southern politics.

Past mapping
To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful.
The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL.

I am currently working on the town of Granger ogf osm. Also, I'm going to create some nearby farmland, forest, and a national park to show the general rural areas.
