Historically, it has been a troubled country that obtained great stability for much of the 20th century, but collapsed in 1975 with the dictatorship of Danilo Carvallo Orozco, which ended with the outbreak of the Juyul Revolution in 1987. When the dictatorship fell, the The country was governed for two years by a Popular Board that would be in charge, among other functions, of convening a Constituent Assembly to adopt a new Political Constitution. Since then, the country has been evolving positively, generating policies that adapt to modernity.
