Collab:Deodeca/Military
Deodeca, as a developed Commonwealth nation, is expected to have a moderately-sized military. Given the contextual history between Deodeca and the FSA, Deodeca's military should be more focused on domestic affairs and operations over a large, extensive military. More importantly, the position of Deodeca as a member of the Commonwealth means that "it is typical for Commonwealth military forces to a high degree of interoperability and standardisation. Most have a common military doctrine, use the same equipment and weapons, and use a common set of rank insignia." Common ranks, doctrine, and weapons and equipment will have to be coordinated with prominent Commonwealth members with militaries.
As a community, we will have to collectively decide on topics such as:
- Names of national armed forces
("Royal prefix?", "Armed forces?", "Defense forces?", etc.) - Special military branch (e.g. Canadian Mounties, or Rangers)
- Structure of military
- Location of major military headquarters
- Location of military school institutions
- Location of naval bases
- Location of air bases
- Location of army bases (barracks, training areas, etc)
- Names of national armed forces
The two 'RDAF' bases already mapped in Ingerish Asperia are subject to change, depending on future developments.
