Note: if at all possible, I would like the existing mapping on UL13b to be cleared.

An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

Duchy of Lugnicja is a country with a temperate climate. The climate is required for the north-central part of Poland.

The northern part of the country is mostly a low plateau area. The central part is made of plains. The southwestern and western parts of the country are much more mountainous (small mountain range), except for areas near the northwestern coast.

The southern areas are basins with low, old granite mountains (like Sudety in Poland).

In the east, almost all of the area is plain-highland, except for a small area of volcanic mountains in the southeast. (<--- like in Poland, for example: Ostrzyca Proboszczowicka, Czartowska Skała, or Mt.Grodziec )

Duchy of Lugnicja borders UL13c in the east, Lechia in the south, and Siiland in the west.

Unfortunately imgur doesn't work in my computer :/

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

Duchy of Lugnicja has around 6.8 million inhabitants, split between its two historical countries (Lechia, and Siiland).

The capital (Lugnica) is a city located in central plains, near Lugnica Lake. It has around 3 million residents.

The eastern historical country of Duchy of Lugnica has around 1.8 million inhabitants. East has a lot of agriculture due to its flatter geography. Due to its plain nature, towns tend to be bigger and more connected than towns in west.

The western historical country of Duchy has around 1.5 million inhabitants. West is a source of wood, coal ores, and oil. Due to its mountain nature, towns tend to be smaller. Due to its plain nature, towns tend to be bigger and more connected than towns in east.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

The culture is based on the Polish historical regions of Kuyavia, Dobrzyn Land and Chelmno Land .

The language of Lugnicja is Polish and Kashubian-Kocievian. In-universe, the language could be considered a dialect of Lechian - Lugnicjan Polechian.

The Duchy of Lugnicja gain independence in 31 July 1831 from Lechia.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

Here is an example of my "mapping": https://opengeofiction.net/#map=18/13.87421/-112.02825&layers=B - village, https://opengeofiction.net/#map=16/13.8531/-111.8587&layers=B - city (welp i dont like mapping cities ;) )

Hello! I'm happy to see there is interest in the area! I'm always excited about potential new neighbours in the GNS! However, there are a few points that I would like to point out for your request.

- Most importantly, the climate. The southernmost point of this territory is at 62 degrees north and it would be nice to see the plan reflect this. Think less, 'northern central poland' and more 'central northern scandinavia'

- This leads into the second part, population. The population estimate of 6.8 million is way too high for the area based on the latitude, for context, Silland has roughly 2,5 million people.

- Your experience. While I think your rural mapping is really nice, you should definitely work on developing your urban mapping portfolio before requesting a territory in Uletha. This was also noted in your previous request and I would recommend either spending some more time in the BG area, or requesting a BG territory of your own, or even a smaller territory in Antarephia or Tarephia as those areas tend to be more open for new members (that's how I started out on the platform anyway :) ).

- Sketches. It would be nice to see your thoughts as a sketch, making it easier to understand what you mean when you describe the geography. I am somewhat confused about your mention of Volcanic mountains for instance, which may not be too relevant in the area.

On that note, rural mapping should be the priority in UL13b, and while that might make the territory a good candidate for you, perhaps the climate and area might entice you to consider something further south. Alternatively, if you do decide to go after UL13b I would urge you to show your ability to map the more relevant forests and hills as well as towns and smaller cities that may be expected here as opposed to farmland or plains. Map the things that would be expected to see in the territory you're requesting, so we know you'll be able to map it well :) Additionally, for reference, for an area with similair size and location to UL13b in the real world, look at Västernorrlands Län in Sweden.

I hope to see you work on your portfolio and would love to see a new neighbour in the arctic. Best of luck!
