The Arctic Customs Free Region (ACFR) is an intergovernmental economic organization comprising 5 Ulethan countries that have abolished border controls at internal borders to promote the exchange of products, the free movement of people and trade in the Arctic region. It is the only relevant intergovernmental organization that exists in the Arctic region.

Background

In the late 1960s Northurland and Silland signed agreements to repair the damage caused in the Arctic War, and later agreements were devised between the arctic countries for an economic union, to promote the economic growth of the Arctic countries from an economy paralyzed by wars and low industrial growth. In the 1980s, the ACFR was created in an agreement signed by Northurland, Silland, and Sapvuodma in XXX city with the objective of promoting economic integration and cooperation between the countries of the Arctic region.
