A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Izmishia has approximately 750.000 inhabitants, with most of the population concentrated along the coast and in the capital city. Population growth is stable. The country is in development, with a GDP of around 5 billion dollars and a GDP per capita of approximately 6.667$. Its economy is based mainly on fishing and tourism, and there are no major economic disparities between coastal and inland areas. The territory is mostly urban, with a few rural zones and forests. There are some large cities, as well as several smaller towns and villages.
Infrastructure is well-developed, with bus services covering the entire archipelago and major roads connecting the islands. The energy matrix is mostly renewable, based mostly on tidal power, with a few non-renewable power plants. All cities have access to essential infrastructure.
The mapping style is semi-realistic, inspired by the southeastern region of Brazil — cities like Cabo Frio, Lorena, and São Lourenço — as well as by Caribbean islands such as Aruba and Bonaire. The focus is on urban planning with some freedom.

A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Izmishia is made by a mix of Florescentan, Brasonians and Mari-Udmurt people, and those populations made the Izmish language, or Izmishian, used together with Brazilian Portuguese in the country. Izmishian people love music and sports, more specifically soccer, hockey and handball, and are very proud of their culture. The islands were first found by Florescentan navigators, then Brasonians who visited the region started to install there and Mari-Udmurt populations opressed by greater powers started migrating to the Islands.

- Must admit that that country's name is literally similar to the name of Meadow Mari language - олык марий (olyk marij). Not to mention that the population density will be around 13 000 people per sq.km for the entire country -- bigger than Singapore or Hong Kong. GDP per capita is 870$, which is less than in West Bank (UN estimate 2023), but on par with Gambia and Burkina-Faso (ibid.). Just my two cents. -- Sudo91 (talk) 07:25, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- Really I've not realized about the language name, but I'll change it. I also didn't know how big was in area and forgot the GDP per capita, I'll correct it. Thanks for advising. Ntnmchdo (talk) 16:37, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- Changed the errors, including the country name, if anything else is wrong, just let me know. Ntnmchdo (talk) 16:40, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hey! I see that you not only included portuguese (the brazilian dialects) as the state language, but also made all locations in portuguese. I would suggest that you either use a mix of Portuguese with Mari Languages to name the country Izmish or you alter the name to a brazilified version. Ilas de Izmiszh could be Ilhas de Simiche or Ismiche (since the Izi combination isn't as common in portuguese). Also I would suggest avoiding names like Suevos, with real world counterparts (Suebi). Also another thing, when you say "Brazilians", "Ukrainians" or "Mari-Udmurt", you must know that there are no 1/1 equivalents to them in OGF, both Tempeira and Brasônia represent Brazilian Culture, and I don't know if there is an Ukrainian or Cossack inspired territory, but I will say this, neither "Brazilian" nor "Ukrainian" people would have sailed (since both in OGF do not represent world powers). Could I suggest a history alteration? Maybe a "Portuguese" (Florescentan) colonization effort that brought Brasonians/Tempeirans and "Ukrainians" to the land, and after the "Mari" come in a migration wave. About GDP, 20 Billion Dollars for your islands seems, a bit excessive, even if the capital and cities are well developed, same with the concept of "major" highways, "tidal power" and a "small nuclear plant", where would this delevopment come from? And also, a nuclear plant generally would be used only for emergencies and would have a constant output, but maybe I don't know Nuclear Plants that well. Davieerr (talk) 14:18, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
- Alright. Didn't know about doesn't having known states in history (I'm new in OGF), and all my made until today towns in brazilian portuguese because it is my native language. About GDP, I am not good at economy, so I don't know what'd be good for it, same as power plants, I've just put them to try getting it realistic, but maybe I'm also wrong. Will change what I know how to change, thanks for the notes. And when I say about major highways, I mean highways that connect bigger cities, like BR-101 (Rio-Santos), not USA-like highways
- Don't worry Ntnmchdo, about economy and details like that that will be added later in wiki, you can always change that, I myself changed my country's development a few times. Don't worry about language and being new, we are always glad to help, and I myself am Brazilian, so I welcome you to the site! The only thing I will focus is that, yes, you can have one major city in the country, but by the size of it it would be very hard to have more than one, I would suggest considering the infrastucture of the Salvador-Porto Seguro Corridor as a better comparison of density. Davieerr (talk) 02:07, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks mate! I thought about the infrastructure like of the Maricá to Búzios region in Rio de Janeiro, but I still don't know how to make it work good here in OGF. If you don't mind to help me, It'd help a lot! Ntnmchdo (talk) 23:46, 18 July 2025 (UTC)
