The state covers an area of 74996 km² and is one of the smallest states in the FSA and the West region.

Topographically, the state is a continuation of the eastern Cordilleras with terrain similar to, and merging, with Alcortez, Sierra, north AP and northwestern Alormen. It is almost landlocked, with a narrow 46km section of coastline in the north and a strip of lowland. This quickly gives way to canyons, mesas and high mountains that characterise the central and southern part of the state. There are several large graben basins and associated dune fields in the southern area that will tie in with recent similar mapping changes in north-eastern Sierra and northern Apawiland.

The actual elevations will need to be worked out at a later date with neighbours but in general the land rises as we move south, the highest point being somewhere in the extreme south west.

There are permanent bodies of water (mainly reservoirs) in the north and intermittent lakes and rivers in the central and southern regions. There are only a handful of permanent rivers that enter the state from Sierra and Alcortez.

The climate at the coast is warm and humid providing the opportunity for some arable agriculture with livestock production further south. Inland, as the terrain rises the climate becomes hot and semi-arid with limited and seasonal precipitation. Tree cover by drought-tolerant species, otherwise scrub, grasses and heath are common. Irrigation is possible in certain areas drawing ground water. In the far south the elevation and rain shadow effects create a cold desert climate.

There are around 1.5 million residents in the state, the vast majority reside along the coast in Santa Felicita and within the metros of El Conde and Lake Page. This area has the most diverse economy in the state, with tourism, logistics, tech and professional services being a few of the main employers. The other cities in the state are much smaller, often centred around one or two core businesses such as ranching, mining and leisure.

Santa Felicita and Las Fuentes are served by federal motorways and rail connections while the rest of the state is linked north/south by a few state highways. There will be a small number of officially designated native lands and nature reserves/protected biomes.

	History & culture

The history and culture of the state will be blended with the established histories of surrounding states and the wider FSA framework.

The prehistory of the area mirrors that of the wider region with native groups resident for millennia before being displaced by the Castellan during the late 17th & early 18th centuries.

The state gained independence during the mid to late-19th century, quite possibly during the period of the Alormen Republic and with their support

. Ingrean and Castellan are both widely spoken and as such there is a strong Castellanese influence in the placenames and cultural practices of peoples of the state. Real world inspirations will include the states of the Great Basin region.
