I would like to reactivate my territory in UL03t, under the name Martani.

The country would have a fairly clear lateral divide between two types of climate / topography: a predominantly coastal section with hilly to mountainous terrain similar to the Cretan seaside; and a larger flat-to-hilly section reminiscent of the Italian Southeast. The climates would be equivalent to the inspiration as well, with the Southern section having a hot, dry Mediterranean climate, whereas the Northern section would have slightly more humid weather.

Due to difficult terrain, there is a strong difference between development in the Northern and Southern halves of the country. The North enjoys flatter topology and so has a robust intercity and regional train service. The South still relies on wheeled transportation with its many winding roads hosting sprawling bus services. This North/South divide is seen in many areas - the South's primary exports are wine, olives, cheeses, and tourism, whereas the wetter North is more focused on agriculture and heavy industry.

| A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Martany's history is loosely inspired by the culture and circumstances of Cretan and Haitian history. The native Demere people were known to have occupied the territories since ~6th century BC. Some time around 1st century BC the territories were conquered by Francophone forces (Venetian equivalent). This would ignite a conflict that continued until the middle ages, with Martany intermittently gaining independence as the Flauian, and finally the Martanian Kingdom.
Martany has two official languages: Mance Creole and Demere. Mance Creole is based on adapted French phonetics (route -> wut, beaucoup -> bwoku) and mixes in many local loanwords. Demere is loosely based on Maldivian and Hindi languages and uses Thaana script. Mance Creole is the primary spoken and written language. Most Demere speakers are concentrated in the South of the country - this is reflected in town names being written in both Latin and Thaana scripts.

I have mapped out a large chunk of forest cover and began drawing the infrastructure and detailing towns such as Ayens.[1] I also have an offline .osm file with more details to the same region.
My previous territory was Chira (now Vrasija/Zalivnija). Some of my contributions still remain, most detailed being the capital city Ciska (now Bistrica na Rasni) [2]
I'm unfortunately a sporadic user and sometimes can go on long streaks away. I hope to have a bit of leniency, as I do have clear plans for future mapping, but many side projects. My hope is to not let my territory rot this time and do smaller, consistent edits via iD instead of JOSM.

- Hi, Cibrage, glad to have you back! I will accept your request no doubt, since it's a reactivation I can get behind. However before doing so I'd like to point out that the mediterranean climate is not really fitting for the region. This map is what I suggest is the best climate for Martani, which is a rainforest-based climate, which will also allow you to match your future neighbors and not stand out as an outlier. You can also see Martani's placemenet in relation to the real world to give you a better picture of the latitude for your climate and biomes. I hope you are okay with this. ── Bixelkoven (talk) (West Uletha Admin) 21:11, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
