Platen steppe

Platenia is a plainy, temperate country with a total area of about 166,000 km². It is characterized by vast lowlands, low, rolling hills in the west, and the Ruvna River, which flows into the Great Rift forming a large delta. The country’s geography supports a diverse range of ecosystems and serves as the backbone of its agriculture and trade.

Topography

Platenia is mostly flat, with hills to the west, and steppe areas in the southern parts of the country, the highest point is the Велкакалнс (Velkakalns), which is around 600m tall, the lowest point however, is where the Ruvna River (Рувна) enters the Great Rift, making an elevation of 2m u.s.l.

	Human geography

Platenia's population would be around 15-20 million, with most of the population living in the plainy areas, or the Rift coast. The sole language of Platenia ir Platen, with the main dialects being: Pulemtci (spoken in mostly the coastal and central plainy areas), Rusteki (spoken in the hilly areas) and Tineli (more Pretannic and spoken in steppe areas).

Economic development

Platenia’s economy is driven by agriculture, light manufacturing, and renewable energy. Its fertile plains support crop production, while the coastal delta fosters fishing and trade. Wind and solar energy are growing sectors, and tourism thrives on ecotourism and cultural heritage.

Land occupation

Most of the land is occupied by farmland, with the western part being more forested, and the southern part being more steppe.

Infrastructure

The infrastructure of Platenia is well-managed. The road network is mostly concentrated in the plains, with much fewer roads in the Hilly areas. There are two major ports, one at the Capital City, and the other at City 1 (in the general plan). Motorways span troughout the country, with most of them exiting to another country.

The road reference codes will be in similar style to Georgia, where the roads are classified by their level of importance:

International class: Міжнародний (ref=М-x);

Domestic class: Внутрішній (ref=Н-xx);

Local class: Місцевий (ref=Ц-xxx)

Mapping style

Most of the mapping will be in western russian style, with bits of inspo. from Mongolia, and Latvia. The capital city will be inspired by Novgorod.

	History & culture
	A brief description of the intended culture and language

The Platen culture is similar to Latvian culture, with the traditional regions each having a slightly different one. The official language is Platen, with dialects I mentioned in the Human geo., The real-life equivalent of Platen is Latgalian, but Platen uses a modified cyrillic alphabet instead of the regular Latin one.

• PLEASE PUT THIS APPLICATION ON HOLD, UNTIL I PROVIDE MORE MAPPING IN NORTHERN KHALKHETI!Note: The Ruvna River Delta could be smaller, something like the one in St. Petersburg, since in the territory description it says that: A major river (Balsa) flows through the northern border. 	I cannot just put a territory request on hold and prevent others from requesting it. You have just gotten your territory and have recently switched one as well. Please settle in your current country and focus on it, there will be time to request a new territory when you have filled your current one with enough mapping.
