NOTE: I have updated my application to include AR120 - 18 as well. My justification for this is that I feel the territory looks more natural this way. The updated population density will be much lower because I'm not planning any additional cities. I plan on being an active mapper for a long time, I won't abandon my work again.

Since the latitude is roughly 43 South, this is roughly the same distance from the equator as New York state. The coastal areas will have a climate similar to Boston, and the inland areas will have a climate similar to the mountainous regions of Pennsylvania, but maybe a tiny bit colder. I have created a very rough sketch of both physical geography and human geography.

Please fill in the information below to make a territory request.

I have updated my application to include both AR120 - 12 + 18.

File:Noun Project Signature icon 619326 cc.svgTerritory ID and proposed name
The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

Territory: AR120 - 12+18 Proposed territory name: Wiarni

NOTE: I have updated my application to include AR120 - 18 as well. My justification for this is that I feel the territory looks more natural this way. The updated population density will be much lower because I'm not planning any additional cities. I plan on being an active mapper for a long time, I won't abandon my work again.

An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. With the exception of Beginner territories, you should always create a sketch map to illustrate & explain your plans. You can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

Since the latitude is roughly 43 South, this is roughly the same distance from the equator as New York state. The coastal areas will have a climate similar to Boston, and the inland areas will have a climate similar to the mountainous regions of Pennsylvania, but maybe a tiny bit colder. This is the second sketch of the proposed territory:

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

The territory, infrastructure, and demographics will be heavily influenced by New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Moreso Pennsylvania than New Jersey, but I like NJ's jughandles and want to incorporate those in Wiarni.

As you can see from the sketch, there is a large unnamed city with a metro area of 3 million. This will be a harbor city. On the south side of the river, part of that same metro area, will be the industrial city of Wanaic. Wanaic is part of the estimated 3 million in that metro area.

In the west there will be a city with a lot of steep hills, surrounded by mountains. The metro area will be between 1-1.5 million, definitely not bigger than that but possibly a little bit smaller.

The capital city will be in a valley in the center of the state and the metro area will have a population of around 400,000. I want to base this loosely off Reading, PA with a lot of surrounding hills.

I am also planning a college town in the northeast corner of the state.

Those are the only major cities, the rest will be smaller.

Highways:

Only one major east-west interstate, the Wiarni Turnpike (FS-10). The Wiarni Turnpike will not extend from border to border, FS-10 will be an non-toll road for some of its way.

Only two north-south interstates, in the same locations as they currently are.

Railways:

I want to have a commuter rail system for my major city, but not as extensive as SEPTA. I'm not sure about the national railroads, but freight lines will be common in Wiarni. Please let me know about the national railway system.

Municipalities:

All land will be incorporated into some municipality. The municipalities must be either a township, borough, or city.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

I really need to read more about the history of the FSA so I can really incorporate my territory into the rest of the project better. The main language will be Ingerish. I'm not sure at the moment if there is a country inspired by Italy, but in the early days of the main city, there were a lot of immigrants from many places, including there. Please let me know more about this so I can better integrate my work.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful.
The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL.

When I first joined OGF in 2015 I spent a few years mapping a country that I'm a little embarrassed about. I was not very mature at the time and I've grown since then. My city, "Patriot City", originally in Antarephia, was moved to the north coast of South Archanta, in Alormen. It is now called "Port Massehanee."

Please keep in mind that this was my first time using JOSM. When I started mapping the center of the city, I never refined my work. That's why the city center isn't very good and the suburbs are better. I gained more experience as I continued to build out.
