* Your mapping is off to a good start, but unfortunately you will need more experience before applying for an FSA state, especially a rather large one. You are welcome to continue mapping in Michisaukee, or you can request a beginner territory and gain more experience there. (You will be able to relocate your mapping from a beginner territory to a new territory later on.)  Please let me know which option you would prefer, and I will update the application accordingly. --[[User:TheMayor|TheMayor]] ([[User talk:TheMayor|talk]]) 18:12, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
* Hello, and thank you! I had a question regarding territory TA233. I noticed on the OpenGeofiction Territory Application page that it's listed as suitable for beginners. Is TA233 considered a beginner territory, or is it something that needs to be requested differently? I understand that the “BG” territories are typically for beginners, so if TA233 isn't available, I’d be happy to request a BG territory instead — perhaps BG23. Also, if I’m approved for one of these territories, would I still be able to continue working on the Town of Fairfield? Please fill in the information below to make a territory request.
Territory ID and proposed name
The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

AR120-37 - Wabeka

Physical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. With the exception of Beginner territories, you should always create a sketch map to illustrate & explain your plans. You can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

Wabeka is a Midwest state with a humid continental climate, featuring warm summers, cold snowy winters, and occasional severe spring thunderstorms. The area experiences all four seasons, including colorful autumns and, near large bodies of water, frequent lake-effect snow in winter. The landscape is mostly flat to gently rolling, shaped by past glacial activity. Fertile plains dominate the central and southern regions, supporting extensive agriculture, especially corn and soybean farming. To the north and east, low hills and ridges create more varied terrain, with scattered lakes, rivers, and wetlands adding natural diversity. Deciduous forests cover parts of the northern and eastern areas, while the western regions transition into open fields. Small towns and mid-sized cities are spread throughout, often located along historic railways or near river ports. Overall, Wabeka combines Midwestern agricultural land with areas of woodland and freshwater features.

Human geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

Wabeka has a balanced mix of small towns, rural areas, and a few mid-sized cities and one major city. Most people live near rivers, highways, or old rail lines. The economy is driven by agriculture, small industries, and local services, with farming (mainly corn and soybeans) covering much of the land. Infrastructure is typical for a Midwestern region, gridded roads in towns, winding rural roads, and a basic highway network. Rail is used for freight, and airports are small but regionally important. Mapping follows a realistic, North American style with clear zoning, natural features, and a focus on believable development patterns.

History & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

The culture in Wabeka reflects Midwestern values—community-oriented, hardworking, with a mix of rural traditions and small-city lifestyles. English is the primary language, spoken with a regional accent influenced by nearby areas. There’s also a presence of indigenous heritage in local customs and place names.

Past mapping
To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful.
The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL.

If you want to request TA233 then you will need to create a new application for it. This is because it is a canon territory, which is also suitable for beginners - it does need to have the application reviewed and for it to match the required language and theme constraints.
However, for a BG territory we can just take care of it here if you want to go that route. For either option you can continue mapping in blue & collab territories. Thanks/wangi (talk) 16:17, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
