Please fill in the information below to make a territory request.
Territory ID and proposed name
The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

UL30G 平地 Hinchi

Physical geography
An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. With the exception of Beginner territories, you should always create a sketch map to illustrate & explain your plans. You can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

The more northern part of Hinchi will be mostly flat plain land, with forests in the centre and mountains in the southern area. Creeks and other bodies of water, as well as 2 major rivers and 2 major lakes will be scattered around the landscape. The largest city will be in the northwest area of the coast, an area which will be mainly flat and partially surrounded by smaller mountains. The climate is humid and subtropical and prone to potential monsoons. It is planned for Hinchi to look a bit like this. https://postimg.cc/4YkyD03f Smaller villages are present but not shown.

Human geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

One half of the population will live in the larger cities in hilly or flat land, one third will live in agricultural villages, and one sixth will live in mountainous villages. Poverty rates in rural areas is at 40%, while in cities it is at 9%. Downtowns and uptowns in cities have large skyscrapers, while suburbs have low density single family households. Rural towns have small farmhouses and mountain huts. Public transportation like trains and metros will be prevalent in cities, while smaller rural towns will usually have worse maintained roads.

History & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

All of Hinchi will be a Japanese speaking area. Religions include Buddhism and Shinto. Culture will be based off of Taiwanese or Kyushu/Izu.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful.
The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL.

Hello Axaeve, please excuse my late reply, I overlooked your application over the holidays. The overall cultural concept for your territory fits in well with the region. Your mapping so far is not sufficient however to qualify you for a private territory yet. Please continue mapping in blue territories to build a portfolio. While editing existing mapping is a great way to get started, please also map some urban and some rural/natural mapping from scratch to demonstrate your mapping ability. When crafting a new application in the future, please also have a look at Help:Making_realistic_countries for your country's sketch. Lastly, out of curiousity, could you share with us if you speak any Japanese, and if yes on what level? Overall, I'd be glad to have you join the region, but these comments will have to be addressed first. Best, Leowezy (talk) 06:32, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello Leowezy.

Sorry about my late reply, I was on holiday. First, I would like to change the name from Hirachi to Hinchi. I would also like to notify that I have changed the planning for this territory. Second, I would like to clarify that i have not edited existing mapping and that the mapping I linked in the past mapping area (Strongwell and Wood Valley) is all my original mapping. However, I will continue to map in UL30CB to improve mapping skills, especially in terms of Japanese mapping, as well as hoping to collaborate with other mappers in other territories. Third, I would like to say that I have a basic rudimentary knowledge of Japanese. I can write and recognise hiragana and katakana, but I will admit my kanji needs sizeable improvement, which i am hoping to seek from fellow mappers in the area.

Thank you for the reply,
