A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

Population between 800k-2m. Mostly sparse density away from the cities.

A technologically advanced nation, Dellara Coast is known for its high level of education and high number of temporary/foreign students that come for the world class teaching institutions. Education is its main export, with wine and forestry also comparably large. It also has a thriving tourism industry with beaches, museums and food/sporting culture. The emphasis on tourism has at times led to a seasonal population and wealth disparity

The Dellaran people mainly live by the coast. New development mapping style will be a mixture modern Australian, but old town/tourist regions may be closer to that of Indonesia or Brazil.

Noun Project languages icon 105908 cc.svgHistory & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

(WIP) Dellara is derived from a Tego word meaning 'rich' or 'pristine'. The country has left a recent history of authoritarian governments, having democratic and open elections since the start of the 2010s. Much of national debate surrounds the use of natural lands and modern development, with national parks recently allocated.

Most of the country is well educated and progressive; most citizens aren't especially religious and few partake in religious cultural celebrations. The population speaks mostly Ingerish but with revival attempts & some naming inspired by native languages such as Tego - spoken by 4-5% of the permanent population.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

2-4 years ago I previously had my own territory, Slerren. It is now part of AR070: https://opengeofiction.net/#map=12/-24.3735/166.3514&layers=B

I have mapped a little in the practice zone to get back into it: https://opengeofiction.net/#map=16/14.2260/-111.8838&layers=B

I want a beginner territory ideally because it will be useful to develop something on the smaller scale before moving onto something bigger

Approved. Beginner territories are for building up experience, and not for long term mapping. Thanks/wangi (talk) 13:54, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
