An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar) |
I will keep the geography after the previous owner, with volcanic mountains in the centre of the islands, but also flatter plains in the eastern and northern part which would house most of the island's population. The island is rich in kaolin, which is required to make porcelain.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
The population of the island is around 1,2 million people, which gives ~300 inhabitants/km2.
Saint Margaret is a developing nation, one of the poorer in the entire region sitting at around 6000$ GDP per capita. Most of the population works in agriculture, forestry and porcelain manufacturing. The mapping style will resemble South American and Carribean nations/islands.

A brief description of the intended culture and language |
The Saint Margaret Island was originally inhabited by the local Kabalya (possible name for the native people) people, who called the island “Nianembiwi” meaning “our land”. The island was allegedly first spotted by an unnamed Castellanese explorer in 1504. However it was a Kalmish expedition that established its colonial outpost on the island. It is believed that it happened on the 26th of October 1554, the feast day of Saint Margaret of Rothenstadt. After initial clashes with the native population a treaty was signed in 1562. Saint Margaret ended up being one of the only Kalmish colonies as most of the other attempts failed. Both Castellan and Franquia tried claiming the island in 1623 and 1642 respectively, however both attempts were successfully repelled and a final treaty of Campana was signed in 1644 giving Kalm full control over the island.
The country has a rich history of porcelain production. The process of making porcelain dishes was known even before the colonists' arrival and has thrived through the Kalmish colonial rule.
Saint Margaret gained independence from Kalm somewhere in between of 1920 and 1950.
