The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country

The Territory ID is AR001b-12. I will call it Bailoro because in the base real world lanuage Tetun it translates as summer or dry season which reflects the climate. I use the tetun lanugage because my section of Lorotoban would likely be undiscovered by forigeiners until recently.

My Territory is mountainous towards the south which is covered by tropical rainforest the northern half of Bailoro is flatter towards the long coastline but also slighly less humid but still has the fringes of forest onto the dry coastal plains and farmland.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

The people of Bailoro have a hertitage simular to that of the real-world caribeenan people. It is a poor country with sparcly populatated land and only more modern infastructure on the northern coast. The southern tropical mountains have small villages with a tribal feel and very poor infastructure (no running water ect). There is promitive agriculture growing tobbaco and other crops, new farmland will arrive near larger places soon. There will be 3 main towns along the northern coast (set up by the traders) connected by the only modern road network and tram network. These places are wealthy and the largest town has 90% of the wealthiest people in my territory. The other settlements are tribal villages and hamlet in the rainforest with a few private villas and wildlife clinics.

Noun Project languages icon 105908 cc.svgHistory & culture
A brief description of the intended culture and language

The territory was originally set up by settlers from the mainland in 800AD that got trapped on the north of the island. These people became tribes populating the territory not changing much for much of history. In the early 1900's, portuguse traders that had set up a post in the south of Lorotoban got lost and discovered tribes and created the 3 main cities along the northern coast. That is why the north coast of my territory uses the Tetun Language with portugese influences while the tribal south uses just Tetun. The north has a more european culture while the south is undeveloped and still uses a tribal heirachy. Both cultures are controlled losely by a central parilment.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

Approved. Please keep in mind that this is a province within a country -- Collab:Lorotoban, it is not an independent territory in it's own right. That should temper your write up somewhat. Thanks/wangi (talk) 14:10, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
