AR035 - Suvia (officially known as the Suvian Kingdom)

Largely the same as already present, characterized by several sand dunes (several of which constantly shift). The northern portion is has rather loose sand, and as such buildings are more sparse. As the landscape transitions to the south, the sand becomes more stable and still, due to less prevalent winds. The shores in the south typically experience few (threatening) tsunamis, though the occasional gentle wave that reaches up to be 7 ft are not exactly uncommon.
The temperature in Suvia, like in any desert, largely varies between night and day. During the day, temperature can soar to 117 F, whilst in the night, can plummet to 28 F. Thanks to these rather warm temperatures, coupled with the ever-shifting sand, there is a profound lack of any "proper" rivers, with the only ones in existence being temporary, or otherwise constantly shifting.

Based on the information above, the population is considerably more dense towards the south. Typically, the coast bears little to no resources, whereas agriculture is largely dependant on heat-loving crops such as broccoli, onions, bell peppers, summer squash, and artichoke. However, the nation is still largely dependant on importing agricultural goods from foreign nations. There are two airports, one for the north and one for the south, whereas transportation infrastructure is relatively good, though is less maintained in the north.
However, in terms of industry, the nation is currently going through an industrial revolution, particularly in the north, driving denizens from the south to the hub of industrialization.

Rather than having one real-world cultural counterpart, Suvia makes use of both German and English culture; for example, some cities have German names, like Altensweigwerchter, while others might have English names. The English counterpart will be based off of my home city, Raleigh. (Though in terms of actual language, the prefered English spelling is that of the British.) Primarily European descent.
In terms of history, the nation was founded by German colonists in 1492 down near the coast, where several colonies soon started springing up. Over the next two centuries and a half, the colonies switched hands many times due to several wars, until finally, the last owner granted the colonies autonomy in 1739 due to the rather uselessness of the region. Since then, the nation has largely remained overshadowed by its neighbours, and has avoided the international stage.

None of it is exactly complete yet, so I understand if you would prefer I go back and map some more. I do plan on mapping in both AR035 and the links above (save for perhaps the last one).
