The climate is relatively cool, thanks to the prevailing Edwardston Winds from the northwest. The east is generally more flat and amenable to agriculture, whereas the west is more mountainous. However, forests are more common in the west, and as the valuable resources are somewhat spread apart.

A few major cities dot the region, though the major hubs are largely concentrated in the west, closer to the coast. Towns built expressly for minerals or lumber are located in the west, whereas rural towns are in the east.

An English-speaking nation. Originally settled in the late Renaissance, the nation is centered around valuing a modest, yet comfortable lifestyle. However, there is a cultural divide, where the west pay attention to harvests, having more public holidays for them, while the east is less focused on such.
