Клімат помірний континентальний. На північному сході - гірський масив "Ніванські гори", складчасто-бриловий, середні висоти. Найвища точка - гора Велика Жила (1519м).

The region has a moderate continental climate. To the northeast lies the Nivan Mountain range, characterized by a fold-block structure and moderate elevations. The peak is Velyka Zhyla, reaching 1,519 m.

The population is 5,658,000 people. The main sectors of the economy include agriculture, metallurgy, and manufacturing (household appliances, food, clothing, etc.), as well as the transit of vehicles between the north and south and goods between the eastern and western coasts.

Історія Зґардинії розпочалася з міграції громад із передгір’їв Ніванського масиву до річкових долин та узбережжя. Основним чинником розселення став пошук придатних для землеробства територій при збереженні контролю над стратегічними шляхами, що з’єднують східний та західний береги. Державна консолідація відбулася навколо Білограда, який завдяки своєму розташуванню на західному узбережжі став головним морським портом та адміністративним вузлом. Протягом століть регіон розвивався як мережа ремісничих поселень, що забезпечували транзит товарів від гір до моря. Згодом територія трансформувалася в індустріальну державу з акцентом на металургію та багатогалузеву промисловість. Сучасний етап розвитку визначається розбудовою магістралей А1 та А2, що закріпили за країною роль ключового логістичного коридору.

Культурна ідентичність країни базується на традиції металообробки, яка історично виникла в північно-східних гірських районах. Назва території походить від зґард — традиційних шийних прикрас у вигляді литих мідних або срібних хрестів, які є національним символом та головною сімейною реліквією. Традиційне вбрання зґардинців орієнтоване на практичність і виготовляється з цупкого домотканого сукна, вибіленого льону та натуральної шкіри з використанням металевої фурнітури. Чоловічий костюм зазвичай включає широкі шкіряні пояси з масивними мідними пряжками, а жіночий складається з багатошарових спідниць та обов’язкових зґард. Національна кухня вирізняється високою поживністю, що зумовлено помірним континентальним кліматом. До основних страв належать густий пшоняний куліш із копченостями, запечена яловичина з пряними травами та житні коржі з гострим гірським сиром. Провідною традицією вважається обряд ритуальної передачі родової прикраси, що символізує спадковість поколінь та пошану до ремісничої праці.

The history of Zgardynia began with the migration of communities from the foothills of the Nivan Mountains to the river valleys and the coast. The primary factor in settlement was the search for arable land while maintaining control over strategic routes connecting the eastern and western shores. State consolidation took place around Bilohrad, which became the main seaport and administrative hub due to its location on the western coast. Over the centuries, the region developed as a network of artisan settlements providing the transit of goods from the mountains to the sea. Eventually, the territory transformed into an industrial state with an emphasis on metallurgy and diversified manufacturing. The modern stage of development is defined by the construction of the A1 and A2 motorways, which secured the country's role as a key logistical corridor.

The cultural identity of the country is based on the tradition of metalworking, which historically originated in the northeastern mountainous areas. The name of the territory is derived from zgards — traditional neck jewelry in the form of cast copper or silver crosses, which serve as a national symbol and a primary family heirloom. Traditional Zgardynian clothing is oriented toward practicality and is made of thick homespun cloth, bleached linen, and natural leather using metal fittings. Men's attire typically includes wide leather belts with massive copper buckles, while women's dress consists of multi-layered skirts and mandatory zgards. The national cuisine is characterized by high nutritional value, necessitated by the moderate continental climate. Main dishes include thick millet kulish with smoked meats, roasted beef with herbs, and rye flatbreads with pungent mountain cheese. The leading tradition is the ritual passing of the ancestral jewelry, symbolizing the continuity of generations and respect for artisanal labor.
