I plan on basing the country on a more continental climate, akin to the great plains in the US. Mostly flat prairies and grasslands, mixed with many forests and rivers.

Most of the territory is used by small towns, with much of the space within the central portion focused on farming. Only a handful of big cites, usually near the coasts. Mapping style is North American, especially prairie styles. They have a relatively small economy because of their dependence on farming, but oil and gas exports have brought new money to their larger cities.

The intended culture is one of more individualism and people who take pride in "working off the land" due to the high rate of farming in the country. Language is American style English, with some Latin Spanish influence.
