An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar) |
The climate of Cancon is tropical. Average daily high temperatures are 25–33°C (77–91°F) almost every day of the year with little to no seasonal variation. Humidity is high, too, across the area, especially in coastal regions, where averages boast 70–90% levels. The seasons include a wet season from May to October, where heavy rains, thunderstorms, and tropical cyclones occur, and a dry season from November to April, where humidity drops, skies are sunnier and clearer with cooler nights. Inland is slightly less humid, but temperatures are more moderate with more frequent, lighter rains occurring at higher elevations. It's not uncommon for certain areas to be known for rainfall and thus, lush landscapes are not uncommon either.
Cancon has a varied topography that contributes to its climate and land usage. The coastal low-lying areas are filled with barrier islands and sandy beaches, mangrove swamps, and low-lying areas that foster flooding from heavy rains and storms; yet this is also the location where tourism and fishing mostly occur. Inland becomes more hilly with rolling hills and highland plateaus, which transition into mountains in the northern-central part of the country. The mountains create the highland zones at their peak elevations, which are usually clouded in and emerge from the rest of the land. This elevation features cooler temperatures and diverse landscape.
Cancon is comprised of what one would expect in a tropical environment—rainforests, rivers, valleys, and volcanoes. Rainforests are located in the southern and eastern parts of Cancon, treasure troves for biodiversity and variety of flora/fauna. Rivers flow from the mountains to the coast while tributaries flow through countryside rice paddies, agricultural regions, and small towns found in between plantation farms. National parks and protected areas abound on the coast and inland to experience the wonders of Cancon. Ultimately, Cancon is a vibrant country with varied climates.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Most of Cancon's people live along the coast and in river valleys. These areas are great for cities and towns because they have water, trade routes, and good soil. The country has a bunch of different ethnic groups, and a lot of its population is pretty young—over half of them are under 30. As for the economy, Cancon's slowly but surely making progress, mainly thanks to farming, tourism, and some up-and-coming industries like textiles and digital services. While certain parts are still rural and kind of behind, the coastal cities are quickly growing with modern shopping areas, ports, and better transportation options.

A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Cancon really has this amazing culture that's all about Lodvice traditions. It's got this strong sense of community and a rich mix of music, dance, and crafts. You can find a lot of lively festivals happening throughout the year, usually tied to the seasons or local religious events. They’re full of bright costumes, lively drumming, and huge communal meals. Family connections, honoring the elders, and being welcoming are super important in everyday life. The main language spoken is Esturbian, which is this beautiful and expressive language with influences from nearby tongues. You hear it in schools, media, and government stuff, but you'll still come across local dialects and other minority languages in the countryside. So, Lodvice culture, along with how Esturbian is used, really gives Cancon a national identity that's both rooted in tradition and flexible enough to keep up with modern times.

- I would suggest you to look at real-life buildings and roads, as they are very bulky/blocky. Also, scale helper could help you. Thanks — Evidence (talk) 03:58, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- Here's a meaningful scale helper link

- Hi, great to see that you are interested in a territory. I can see you put a good amount of thought in the application. However, as others above already pointed out, your mapping might need a little more practice before applying for a territory. Keep working and practicing in the BG Territory and try to fill in a little more of the space, and also try practicing on the details with the help pages mentioned below and the Scale helper mentioned above by Wangi. This means for now I will close the application, later you can make a new request after practicing and mapping more. —PortCal (talk) 23:18, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
