Here's all my sketches first: https://postimg.cc/gallery/mHh1vFF
Bashlam is a very rugged and mountainous country with peaks reaching up to 4500m in the south and 4100m in the north, the lowest point being around 600m at the lake (Voziera Slavy for now) in the southeast part of the country. Historically it was very isolated from others, except by a few passes in the Red Mts, one in the west, and the largest one in the southeast, connecting to Lepuş and Malësoria. The country mostly drains towards the Ц1ен-хи (and into the Kiran from there), except a valley in the southeast draining through another yet unnamed tributary straight to the Kiran, and the historically Armenian Karmir valley draining on the other side of the Red Mts and into Demirhan's Kan Valley. The climate is mostly a temperate continental one, similar to Slovakia, Romania, or the Eastern Caucasus (mostly the latter lol). The main vegetation is conifers, because the forests are mostly montane and the slopes are pretty rocky and poor soiled for other trees to grow. In the lower valleys though, decidious trees grow too. The country also has lots of alpine meadows, glaciers, cliffs, bare rock, scree, and all of that mountain good stuff.
Sorry for the hyowge text wall xD, I just had to ^_^
MOST IMPORTANT: I'd like to split the territory in half roughly, like in my sketches marked by the borders, and give the northern half to UL07g∈⊾ƨ or anything other lol
I don't want that much work, but I don't want creating a new territory either so you could just give it to UL07g∈⊾ƨ for a while
Hope you got it, cos that's the most important bit of my application :D

| A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
The mapping style is mostly Chechen-like except if it was richer lol, so kind of a mix of West European in bits, Post-Soviet, Middle Eastern, but above all the characteristic Caucasian dense asf saklya houses!
The GDP is roughly that of the Czech Republic or Slovakia next door, the demographics are mostly Башламийн or Bashlamians, at 87% with a sizable Sherkman and Armenian minority in the Karmir Valley, Demirhanese mostly in cities, and some Malësorians in cities too. The land occupation is mostly forests, farmland in the flatter valleys, and alpine pastures (seriously there are LOTS of them).
And the sources of income are mostly ski tourism (lots of ski resorts throughout the whole country, because the land is perfect for that stuff, lots of snow and tall mountains), agriculture in valleys, logging, and mining (primarily the latter two although ski tourism is really big as well).

The intended culture and language is just Chechen but renamed lmfao
Also it has more Sherkman, Mazani, and Demirhanese influence than a Surian one, partly because the Surians controlled it for like 30 years only and then the communists held a referendum, so they left peacefully.
It's a mostly Muslim country, although there are some Armenian Christians (what is the OGF equivalent? idk) and other religions, but those are mostly very small, since even most of the minorities are Muslim too, except the Armenians lol

| To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful. | |
| The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL. |
11.8601°N, 111.2012°W (I'm planning to map mostly in this style lol, this is Chechen mountain natural mapping I guess)
11.5999°N, 110.7161°W (not the style I'm planning to map in but still an example of how much detail I can get in my cities)
50.4941°N, 69.4702°E (partly in the style I'm doing for my outskirt panel blocks and my Surian-era city centres)
Not much else lol, hope you'll review this and enjoy :DDD

Hi, I guess there could've been some more details, doesn't appear really like a hyowge text wall, but the application is fine, no worries. Some things I'd like to talk about:
- Can you tell me which of the sketches has the borders you want your territory to have? They differ between the images.
- 4000m+ mountains don't sound completely unrealistic, but please consider the present mapping in neighboring Demirhan Empire. I don't see peaks mapped in the concerned area, so it would be wise to either contact User:Rustem Pasha regarding the topography, to see if that elevation makes sense, as they would be affected as well. That would also determine whether your mountains can handle glaciers. I would also be really careful with having glaciers, depending on the climate in the area, since you have a small desert area just a 100 kilometers to the west.
- As I read this already, I will answer here. According to the elevation map on the wiki (this file) there are mountains between 2500-4000 metres at the Bashlam border so it should be fine. Also I believe Bashlam sketch was prepared having that map in mind. Rustem Pasha (talk) 21:46, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- If glaciers are feasible, the glacial mapping you provided is not really convincing if you intend on mapping a lot of glaciers. I know they are hard to master, so use a site like mapy.cz to get a feel and understanding where they flow and why, the 3D view is really handy (it uses OSM as a baseline). Please attempt at making the natural area a bit more detailed, also including other natural features such as rivers, farms, grasslands, etc., so we can proceed with the application.
- The urban mapping, especially the Russian-style one (more appropriate for this application) is good and acceptable, no need to do anything regarding that.
- The culture, plans are relatively okay and acceptable, as well.
- Your past history has been problematic with 3 penalties for various reasons. With this, I'd like to warn you about any potential future misbehaviour, please control it. Should this territory application be accepted after you present the updated natural area, I will monitor both your activity and your overall behaviour. Just follow the rules and be polite within the community, both on and off the map.
Thoughts? ── Bixelkoven (talk) (West Uletha Admin) 21:13, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot guys for the feedback, the glaciers don't really flow in the right places in the mapping but I'll try to fix them lol
- About the mountains with glaciers, it's kinda like in eastern Kazakhstan (near Alma-Ata is about the spot), where there are 4000-5000m mountains, with conifer forests, wet pastures, and glaciers between two very deserty areas (the Balkhash steppe area and the Taklamakan), the Eastern Caucasus itself (my main inspo lol) is right next to a fairly dry and arid steppe on the northern side.
- And finally the border sketches, I want the smaller ones to not overwhelm me with a bigger bit of mapping, and have me just map in one theme. Have a nice day guys, hope you get it :D ── Xoxasochka (talk) 04:54, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
