Topography
The southern part of Ūdraine is dominated by a low-lying, ancient mountain range that stretches across the border with neighboring countries. These mountains, worn down over the years, rise gently and are covered with dense forests and meadows. While not particularly rugged, they provide a natural barrier and contribute to the region's biodiversity. The highest point in Ūdraine, Klonda (literally "Crown"), stands at approximately 1,000 meters above sea level and is located within this southern range.
Rivers and waterways
One of Ūdraine's most prominent geographical features is the Kamenava River, known locally as the Kamēnis. It flows through the eastern part of the state, hosting the countries capital on it's shores. It has numerous tributaries contributing to the fish habitat.
Climate
Ūdraine experiences a temperate continental climate, with cold winters and mild summers. The southern mountains influence precipitation patterns, often trapping moist air masses and resulting in higher rainfall in this region compared to the rest of the country. Snowfall is common during the winter months, especially in elevated areas like Mount Klonda.
Resources
Ūdraine's geology is rich in mineral resources, including limestone, clay, and minor deposits of metals such as iron and copper. These materials have historically supported local industries, including construction and craftsmanship. Additionally, the abundant forests provide timber, which remains an important economic resource.

| A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Demographics
The country boasts a population of around 2.3 million, with a large part of it living in the capital (~750k), while the rest lives in countryside towns and other cities (and villages). Most settlements are on streams and rivers, and usually primary roads meet at them. There are a few cities.
Other nationalities live as minorities in the capital and cities.
Economy
The economy is pretty nice, with a GDP per capita of around 30k. (GDP: 80b) It focuses mainly on timber and resource exports and slightly tourism.

Infrastructure
Electricity is distributed by a dozen of higher voltage electricity towers, while in more rural area's electricity poles dominate.
Ūdraine boasts one of the more advanced road networks in the region, designed to ensure efficient movement of people and goods across the country. This infrastructure plays a pivotal role in supporting economic growth and fostering regional integration.
Motorways (2+2)
- Ūdraine’s primary motorways connect major cities. These highways feature two lanes in each direction, separated by a median barrier, and are built to international standards.
Expressways (1+1, 1+2)
- Expressways serve as secondary arteries, providing access to other parts of the countries, could be called failed or proposed motorways.
Local, Other (1+1)
- Local roads form the backbone of Ūdraine’s rural transportation system, ensuring that even isolated villages remain accessible. These roads are typically narrower but well-maintained, reflecting the government’s commitment to nationwide connectivity.
Public Transport
- In addition to road networks, Ūdraine operates a reliable public transit system, including intercity buses and regional trains. The Kamēnis River also supports limited water-based transport in certain sections, particularly for tourism and freight.
Rail
- While I haven't put much thought in the rail infra, I think there will be some lines connecting cities and some towns.
Road "Ref"
Motorway's and Trunk's will follow (A-x) ref, primary - P-x, Secondary - V-x and Tertiary - C-x (or just number in some municipalities)

The language is supposed to be latgalian, with some lithuanian diaspora in the north, and more central europe slavic in the southwest.
History
The history of Ūdraine traces back to 7000 BCE, when early Neolithic communities settled along the River Kamenava, near the site of the modern capital. These groups built permanent dwellings, crafted stone tools, and began practicing agriculture, marking the transition from nomadic lifestyles to organized societies. For ages, the region remained home to small, decentralized tribes with no centralized authority.
By the early 5th century CE, a leader named Visvaldis unified parts of Ūdraine into the Principality of the Audrines (Audrine – Udrejis Kņazeiba), the first major state in the region. The Audrines practiced pagan religions, worshipping nature deities, and engaged in trade with neighboring cultures. However, the principality collapsed around 500 CE due to a poorly documented civil war, leaving few historical records of its downfall.
During the Middle Ages, the Kingdom of Druvine emerged as a dominant power (c. 1400s–1500s), conquering territories across the Savean Plain and absorbing smaller kingdoms. Druvine’s influence declined by the Renaissance, leading to regional fragmentation.
In the 19th century, Ūdraine underwent significant political changes. After widespread reforms and the abolition of the monarchy, the Republic of Ūdraine was established on January 1, 1911. The new republic faced internal tensions during the Great War but avoided major civil conflict.

- Dear, Petons. The territory application is good. You have proved to be interested in developing your mapping skills and it's clear that you have improved significantly. I am likewise glad you have a very diverse mapping 'portfolio', and that you have different styles a try. I am willing to accept this application, however due to your past activities regarding territory ownership, you will have to agree to the following if you would like me to accept this territory:
- You will not request any territory adjustments or exchanges for the next 365 days, at least. This doesn't mean that you are forced to edit in UL14e, rather just be active as every other user with the promise to focus on it. You are still allowed to request a territory area upgrade (or downgrade) with the rules written at the territory application rules page in mind.
- Failing to abide by the above will result in me forbidding you from requesting territories in the near future.
- This isn't supposed to be a scare, if it seems like one. I myself went through a period of uncertainty with territories, but this is meant to be a sign that I will not tolerate territory-hopping. I value committed users who are happy to stick to their projects. Do you agree with the afforementioned? ⸺ Bixelkoven (talk) (West Uletha Admin) 15:09, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

| Regarding the upscaling you mentioned, please keep the territory size similar to what it is now (41.150 km²). Do not extend more than 5 kilometers past the current borders, in either direction. With activity there's time to acquire much more territory than what you can possibly get with the border changes. Happy mapping and happy holidays! |
