I envision the coastal regions being low forests suitable for agriculture and settlement. A small mountain range would split the country in two, and in the east a large steppe valley would exist. In the north, there would be dry foothills that are very hard to inhabit. My plan can be seen here: https://imgur.com/gallery/bululen-geography-plan-joKzHXq .

| A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
The population of Bululen would be at around 60 million, as it enters the third stage of the demographic transition model. The main demographic of Bululen would be T'dulung, which would correlate to IRL:Southern Mindanao tribes, which I will expand on more below. Economic development would be low, and Bululen would be a relatively poor nation. However, due to the wealth of East Uletha, I believe that it could perchance receive funding for infrastructure from other nations, bettering the nation. The mapping style would most closely resemble the Philippines. Land occupation would mainly be agriculture, with larger farms in the east due to higher grazing needs.

|---|---|
| A brief description of the intended culture and language |
The languages of Bululen would be related to IRL:Tboli, Blaan, Tiruray and Klata languages. These are known as the Bilic languages. Bilic explorers would land in UL26f, and would slowly split into different seaside communities known as 'benwu'. These benwu would gradually develop different languages and cultures over time. A large Telugu influence would also exist due to Telugu merchants regularly visiting these communities. In the 18th century, Bululen would be colonised by Castellan and used as a gateway to East Uletha. Bululen would gain independence in the late 20th century, but has yet to recover from the effects of colonialism.

| To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful. | |
| The {{coord}}, {{node}}, {{relation}} or {{scalehelper}} templates can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - they result in nicely formatted links. Or you can paste in a URL. |

Hello Kyunzi, thank you for your application. Before proceeding, please expand on the following:
- When did the Bilic explorers arrive and there did they come from?
- Will the map reflect both Bilic and Castellan languages, if yes in what way?
- In addition to the map indicating rough natural landscapes, please also provide a sketch of major settlements and infrastructure. Have a look at Help:Making_realistic_countries for a good example.
- How could this territory's history relate to its neighbours, most importantly Midistland?
Looking forward to your reply, best, Leowezy (talk) 18:23, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
Hi Leowezy,
I was thinking that the Bilic explorers would arrive around the 10th century, sailing from Archanta. The reason for this migration could be due to existing trade routes, and Bilic peoples would eventually end up in UL26f and settle in the area.
The map will reflect both Bilic languages and the Castellan language. For Bilic languages, many town names would be in these languages. For example, the town name 'Henfek', meaning 'foothills', could exist. Castellan influence can also be seen in the orthography of these Bilic languages, through letters/letter combinations such as /gu for /w, /que and /qui for /ke and /ki, and /c for /k. Finally, some town names in Bululen would be in Castellan languages, such as 'Santa Rosa' or 'San Pedro'. Most of these Castellan derived names would relate to religion. There will also be towns with names derived from Telugu.
I have added my sketch of infrastructure in the 'Physical geography' tab.
I cannot find much information on Midistland's history as it does not have a wiki page, so it is a bit hard to work with. If the Germanic theme of Midistland was from colonisation, then the strong language theme differences between the two countries would be explainable, as colonial borders would be enforced. Prior to colonisation, groups between the two areas would most likely interact through trade.
Maj Lagar has separate Austronesian languages in the south, so there is a possibility that the same explorers would attract two different Austronesian ethnic groups at two different times.

| Approved, happy mapping. Please move your mapping from Miuro or archive your mapping within the next few weeks and wipe the territory after. Thanks! Leowezy (talk) 16:08, 14 August 2026 (UTC) | |
| As you develop your territory, be sure to keep it realistic. Here are some resources you may find useful for starting out: Help:Portal, Help:Making realistic countries, Help:Making realistic cities and OpenGeofiction:Site policies |
