This expansion of Taira will be around 11700 km^2, which will bring the total area of Taira to around 95200 km^2. The whole boundary will be a new prefecture, 古座県 (Koza Prefecture). The weather will be quite cool or mild in the warmer months with occasional rain, in winter it will be extremely snowy and cold, and in autumn it will be a nice cool weather.
The average altitude for the peaks in the mountains will be somewhere between 2000-3000m. Most of the landcover will be largely forested, or filled with scrub. The only suitable areas for settlement are in the Koza Valley along the Yosen river, along the Akashionomoto river opposite of Akashionomoto, and a small section of valley along the Himeshi river.
The prefecture will be mostly inspired by the landlocked/mountainous regions of Japan like Tokushima prefecture, Yamanashi prefecture, Gifu prefecture, and Nagano prefecture.

Most will live along the banks of the Yosen river in the Koza valley. Koza will be the largest prefecture in Taira, however also the least densely populated, with a planned population of around 1.1 million people, resulting in a population density of around 96 people per square km. This is comparable to Kochi prefecture of Japan. Koza Prefecture will be split into 5 counties, each with capital cities that range between 50k people to 200k population. The capital of Koza prefecture, Koza city in Koza county, will have around 400k people living in it. Around 10% of the population will live in smaller, rural communities, either in farmland along a stream or in mountainous areas.
Koza prefecture will be one of the poorest prefectures due to the fact that it is landlocked and has very little population density, however its industry will be primarily fueled by mining. There will be 1 motorway and a few trunk roads running through the prefecture to connect cities and smaller settlements. It will also serve as a method of transportation between the southern or eastern parts of Taira and Yosen, with a motorway and trains connecting the two countries.
Most of the prefecture will be inspired by mountainous Japan.

| A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Koza prefecture will be known as one of the culturally richest parts of Taira, due to its proximity with the birthplace of Tairan buddhism in Shingomata. It was conquered early on by the Hanawabori Heavenly Kingdom, which spread Tairan buddhism and south Tairan culture throughout the area. Due to it's isolation in comparison to the northern Tairan prefectures, the indigenous culture of the Hanawabori people thrived in Koza, with over 80% of the population being indigenous Hanawabori, the highest in all of Taira (Mizoguchi prefecture trails behind with 62%). The language will just be normal Japanese/Tairan/Kyouwan. Historical and culturally relative sites in Koza include the Great Tomb, a site in the mountains that contain over 50% of all of the deceased remains of the Great Priests under Buddha in the Hanawabori Kingdom, and the Great Temple to Buddha, an extremely large Tairan buddhist temple, also in the mountains.
P.S. I don't know if buddhism has an equivalent in OGF so i'm just saying buddhism. If it does, please let me know.

- Hello, Axaeve. I wanted to let you know that Leowezy is unavailable for a little bit, and I (and Bixelkoven) are helping to guide the applications while he is away. I'm sure he'll get back to you promptly when he returns. That said, a few things to consider while he is away. First, in asking for a territorial expansion, there is a need to exhibit a decent percentage of detailed or near-detailed mapping in the current territory. Right now the "whole country of Taira" is not mapped beyond a sketch or how the territory would lay out with some smattering of land cover. In the three or four areas of detailed mapping I could find, it looked pretty good. You are probably going to need more detail than sketched roads and rough layout of forests. It's fine for z8 or z9 on the map, and it's a good framework. So, in the interim time while Leowezy is away, go ahead and jump in with some more detail and filling things out. Thanks! — Alessa (talk) 02:41, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
