Prehistory
The peninsula which Ugawa sits on was inhabited by mostly nomadic Proto-Ulethans and Proto-(Austronesian culture) to the west. These people eventually settled during the development of agriculture. North Archantans arrived as far back as 2500 BCE, making up much of the composition of Ugawa today.
Early History - circa 900 BCE to 868 CE
circa 900 BCE - Earliest Kingdoms
Various chieftains evolve into very small kingdoms. Ugawa as a whole is fragmented.
circa 100 BCE - Trading
Small kingdoms trade with people on Kubori, as well as from Northern Archanta, trading ideas and writing systems.
200-600 CE - Conglomeration into still Small Kingdoms
The more powerful kingdoms in their local area conquer their weaker neighbors, leading to dominant kingdoms in each region of Ugawa.
Ipserian Administration of Ugawa - 868 CE to 1299 CE
868-880 CE - Ipserian Conquest
The Kingdom of Ipseris slowly conquered the several kingdoms in present-day Ugawa, picking them off one by one, as the Izakis sought to expand towards the south.
The development of this territory would largely parallel the history of Izaland.
1299 CE - Ugawan Kingdoms Break Away
Amidst the Sanbakai Conflict (三馬懐紛争) to the north, the Ugawans decide to revolt and break away. This gave rise to two larger kingdoms in the area - The Kurōshi (黒石) Kingdom to the north and Amaneshi (周) Kingdom to the south.
Ugawan Middle Ages - 1299 CE to 1850 CE
1462-1464 CE - King Akimasa Conquers Amaneshi
The territory known as Ugawa becomes united when King Akimasa (明正) of the Kurōshi Kingdom conquers and subjugates the Amaneshi Kingdom. Akimasa would rule until his death in 1485.
1650-1690 CE - A Period of Governmental Reform
During this era, the Kurōshi Kingdom undergoes a series of transformations, reforming and officially codifying its laws and decrees. It was also during this time that a stronger administration and tax system was created.
Peninsular Union - 1850 CE to 1968 CE
1850 CE - Formation of the Union
In 1850, the kingdoms of the (Greater UL30 Peninsula) decided to unite into a regional power, with the kingdoms becoming local circuits of this greater state, retaining their monarchical systems.
1920-1924 CE - Construction of the Canal of Ugawa
In 1920, construction began on a canal in the southeast of Ugawa, funded by investors from Izaland, Pyeokchin, and Kojo. The project, completed in 1924, brought a faster shipping route to many ports within the (Sound of Pa), and revenue to the local communities and the circuit of Ugawa.

An Independent Ugawa - 1968 CE to 2025 CE
1968 CE - Coup d'Etat and Independence
In 1968, amidst strife within the (UL30 Union), a junta deposed the local government and the monarchy, and declared Ugawa independent from the (UL30 Union). The leader of the junta, (), would become the ruler until his death in 1989. During this period, infrastructure projects were developed with investment from the FSA, albeit very largely concentrated in urban areas, causing a demographic shift towards the coast and large cities. Also, Miuro, being almost completely surrounded by Ugawan waters, was largely cut off from the international community due to blockades.
1989-1991 CE - Transition to Democracy
Upon the death of (), the nation's administrators, amidst growing pressure from the people, decided to transition the nation into a representative democracy, with the current constitution, the Constitution of 1990, being enacted. This new government further developed the nation's economy in all sectors, and has reallowed access from the international community to Miuro.
