If I recall correctly, Isleno, a former admin, used a similar method for the forest cover in West Commonia (now AR902) and Suvuma. I'm kind of aware there was a wiki help page on making forest covers from inkscape.

Personally I would say a quicker method is to use JOSM fastdraw, trace some real life forest patches using PicLayer, and you can play around with the jagged lines.--Zhenkang (talk) 08:09, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
