An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

Physical Geography

  • Mountains near the western coast from north to south.
  • Coastal landscape is sandy with tropical vegetation.
  • Interior landscape is a plateau with savannah vegetation.
  • Elevation drops to the east, where the landscape is arid.

  • Coastal climate is tropical, hot, with a rainy season (due to the mountain range catching moisture from the ocean).
  • Interior climate is arid, hot, dry annually (due to the mountain range blocking moisture from the ocean).
  • Mountain climate is temperate to cold (due to elevation).

A brief description of the intended culture and language

Official Language would be Gaermanic from Kalmish colonization in the past. Indigenous cultures from multiple tribes in the interiors use tribal languages (conlangs) as second or main language.

  • Culture would be most likely based on sub-saharan particularly on real world Upper Guinea.
  • Religion would be protestantism with churches and cathedrals common in the west, while animistic in nature for the natives in the east, having less structures and untouched lands as respect to nature.
  • Settled by Ingerish and Kalmish explorers in the age of discovery, was eventually fully under Kalmish governance.
  • Exploitations of natives and resources caused war between the regional government and the natives.
  • Natives were pushed back into the interiors, Kalm claiming the entire western coast.
  • Railway and road expansion to the interior caused another war against the natives.
  • Direct governance by Kalm was overthrown wen regional government made a separation movement from the country.
  • War stopped when reforms were signed for the natives.

Discussion for clarification & decision

Hello! Great proposal! I would just suggest something about the ethnic composition and cultural inheritance, as you can see, most african nations nowdays are located in Archanta, not Tarephia, I think you can still have a berber-type of population but with animalist religions. The region has no other connections with Sub-Saharan cultures and I personally feel that it would be better to keep consistency throughout the continent. But in no way shape or form am I demanding you change your ideas. -- Davieerr (talk) 17:27, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

Though Davieerr is correct in saying that there's currently no connection with sub-saharan cultures here, I do think we could have such territories in this, otherwise rather empty region of Tarephia; after all there *is* a huge Sahara-like desert here, and as long as there is no direct connection with the actual language being used (emulation rather than imitation), it should be absolutely reasonable. I'm quite curious what your idea is for the level of development in this nation: what real world nation would you expect this nation to resemble? Additionally, having said that, I'm unsure if a territory of this size would be suitable right away. Would you accept taking on the nearby TA240; with option to apply for expansion in the future? (And, on another note, I think that the name Durchkern would make a little more sense grammatically: though it might also be interesting to explore what the native population would prefer to call their nation.) Taka (talk) 13:39, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Yes, a smaller territory would be better, I would be happy to change the language through suggestions and corrections, but can I have the territory TA234 instead? Senju (talk) 05:24, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

TA234 has been granted; let's briefly chat through messages about how to proceed further. Taka (talk) 13:11, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
