  • Background of our current progress. We have been consistently working in mapping the worldbuilding and landscape of Platina. Imperator has been settling the major population centers and developing the natural mapping, primarily for the eastern region of our current territory, following the paths already established for our northwestern (Alvorán) and northeastern (Jarcón) neighbours. As such, we're adhering to the general vision for West Uletha regarding elevation and terrain, the rainforest biome, drainage basins and the existing/planned mountain ranges. I have been focusing on the city mapping of the largest city (Santa Cruz), the federal capital (Montedorado) and an important port in the eastern region (map).
  • Overview of the expansion. We consider that the current territory of Platina has been mapped thoughtfully and with a relevant focus on detail, adhering to the discussion for our initial territory application and the existing consensus for the entire subcontinent. That said, we feel that our next natural step for our project is to expand into UL03t (262434), as it is geographically senseful for it to be part of Platina. Our existing capital city would then be in the geographical center of the country, and we could have the opportunity to further develop the Liberan Island in cooperation with our neighbours involved, as well, in the Alvorán project. Geographically speaking, we are adhering to our previous discussions and the existing consensus for our region.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

As agreed in the initial territory application, Platina is inspired by Latin America but with a stronger European influence, as it is already nearer to the colonial power (Castellán) as the Spanish colonies in America were. Due to its historical background being influenced by numerous colonial and regional powers in the past, Platina is expected to be a multicultural country, with numerous immigrants living in organized communities of the largest cities (we have currently established the Plevian and the Bai District in Santa Cruz), but the majority of the population has Spanish/Castellanese colonial heritage, as is the case with Argentina and similar countries in Latin America. We're taking inspiration, geographically speaking, from the natural mapping of Panama and Costa Rica, and the city mapping of the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay).

Platina is expected to have a developed and high-income economy. The manufacturing sector (heavy industry and materials), mining and oil extraction are the predominant economic activities of the country, with a developing market of financial and technology services. There is a heavy agriculture and fishing industry in the northwestern coast and the insular region, with a significant light industry taking place in the industrial areas of the country.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

We're still working on the full details of the historical background of Platina, as there are significant details regarding explorations prior to the Castellanese colonization that need to be discussed by the mappers of our region. However, it is already established that the majority of the indigenous people in Platina disappeared during the colonial period, with some minor settlements in isolated regions of the country, and that Castellán colonized the entirety of the country and eventually inherited its culture, religion and language to their people.

Regarding the government and politics of Platina, we've already established major details about it in the wiki article for the country.

Dear Mapping Expert and Imperator, despite the mapping quality you've provided in Platina so far, the mapping is not sufficient enough to warrant a territorial expansion. There must be lots of more detailed mapping in the territory and/or medium-level detail in the entire territory (nature covers, infrastructure, etc.). Please continue mapping your territory and in the future we can reconsider this request again. The request per se is fine. Happy mapping!
