The Territory ID (from OpenGeofiction:Territories, e.g. AR123a) and proposed name of the country |
UL08c-12 - Thérisie
A province of Valony
![]() | Physical geography |

An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar) |
Climate
The climate will be oceanic (Cfb) with sweet winters and mild summers throughout the province.
Topography and landscape
Topography here will be mostly flat, it vill be filled with agricultural lands mostly, some industries eventually (that will be subject to coordination with all mappers in Valony) and forests in the north-east of the province. The lowlands will start from the Pretannic and Glois Lakes and forests at the north-west of the province will be at no more than 500m of altitude.
I draw some rivers in this picture but that's general and can be altered following the evolution of the Valony project.

A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Demography
Thérisie is planned to be home to 8 million Valonians, with 1 million in Arpigny, 500,000 in Tourneval and another 500,000 in Parsigny. These 3 cities will be the core center of the province, and other cities of importance could be Pérolles (planned at the border with UL08l). Total population can also be subject to change, considering the evolution of the Valony project.
Land occupation
Mostly agricultural and grasslands vith forests at the north-east. Some industries could be created but at this stage I don't know.
Infrastructure
Thérisie will have A8 motorway going through its province twice, the remaining part is going through Maroche via Sartres. Another A8X motorway could start from Tourneval, going through Arpigny and continuing up north at the border of Valony (Thérisie province) / UL08p.
A second network of secondary and tertiary roads (Nationales and Départementales) will link mid-size, little cities and villages together and for some of them, will be linked to the motorways.
Main railways could follow the motorways.
Mapping style
It will be different from Artenia in numerous aspects, particularly for the city layouts where it will me more organic and less colonial grids.
I will be inspired by where I live, most of the cities, agricultural lands and forests could be in the style of Eastern Ile-de-France or here also .

A brief description of the intended culture and language |
At this stage, history will be the same as the entire country of Valony. The language will be of course Valonian and it will be easy for me to map in that language since I am a native French speaker.

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful | |
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL. |
For a global view: Artenia
For an island: Rochville island in Artenia
For examples of rural mapping: Maboville and west of Mainland Artenia
For cities : Arténie-Ville, especially the 1st, 6th, 19th boroughs (Arrondissements in Valonian).

The territory application is good, your mapping is good, particularly the urban one. As standard, use the resources on the Collab:Valonne page, use the forums for discussions. Happy mapping! |
