Country can be divided into three areas of similar climate and landscape:
- North (up to 50 km from the coastal line) has mixed, "mediterranian" vegetation and climate, and is mostly flat (heights up to 50 m).
- Central part of the country is almost 100% steppe-typical vegetation. Agricultural landscapes. Flat hills up to 250 m.
- South (up to 30 km from border to UL26b∈⊾ƨ) tends to be desert-like, also gradual transition to the Transulethan mountain range (heights up to 500 m). The range itself is further to the South (Territory UL26b∈⊾ƨ to Sector 30).

| A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style |
Most of the population is concentrated within 50 km from the coastline of the Kaspen sea due to the climate advantages.
- Dinoborg/Dinoburg is a capital city of around 300k-500k.
- Pagot, Sogow/Sogau, Pjerow/Hutfederberge are larger cities with up to 300k.
- Zemsk/Semsk, Jewpa, Kurowic/Kurowitz, Rauta/Rutow, Kšamaŕ/Kremer, Pušćina/Wüstow, Luboraz/Leiborase are slightly over or under 100k.
- The rest is cities under 50k and villages (not displayed in the overview map).
Transit and infrastructure:
- Expanded high speed rail network, including international links to Midistland and other neighbour countries.
- Highways integrated in the Ulethan system (U-Routes: U70, U78).
- International airports: Dinoborg (active), Kšamaŕ (planned).
- Sea harbour and container terminals in Dinoborg, passenger terminals also in other coastal cities.
Economics:
- Transit benefits due to a location between Midistland and other Kaspen sea countries (rail/road), also active trade with countries of the Whale sea (maritime).
- Agriculture in the central part of the country covers it's own needs.
- Tourism and recreation along the sea shore.
- Science and technology: University Dinoborg as well as multiple scientific institution in and around Dinoborg make the region attractive for specialists of engineering and natural sciences.
- Wind and solar energy from the desert-like southern region of the country.
| History & culture | |
|---|---|
| A brief description of the intended culture and language |
Germanic culture with slavic impact from the other coast of the Caspean sea. Equivalents to the country's official languages IRL are Lower Sorbian and German (therefore most cities have bilingual names, so do streets and other infrastructures).
Way much earlier in history also hellenic influence, therefore country's name Alonia (άλογα + κοιλάδα = valley of horses).
N.B.: I'm aware that due to de-facto mixed germano-slavic culture, my proposal might be better suitable with territories like UL20a∈⊾ƨ, UL21f∈⊾ƨ or maybe even UL14a∈⊾ƨ. However, each of these territories mentioned above covers significantly larger area than UL27g∈⊾ƨ, and I would really prefer to focus on details rather than do geographically expanded mappings.

The capital city of (proposed) Republic of Alonia - Dinoborg/Dinoburg - is in fact one of my long-term mapping projects. What started 25 years ago as a paper drawing back then, developed into vector graphic project within time. Therefore, following extracts might give you idea about the scale of the entire city [ 14.60352°N, 113.70008°W] as well as granularity of mapping I'm aiming to achieve [ 14.61268°N, 113.73581°W], [ 14.603933°N, 113.70539°W], [ 14.615956°N, 113.669797°W] as soon as the project is moved to it's final location in East Uletha.
A rural mapping samples: [ 14.48995°N, 113.61108°W], [ 10.92679°N, 111.94613°W], [ 13.19332°N, 112.12029°W] (the last one was slightly edited by someone else after me though).

- Hello Dino, thank you for your application. Your mapping so far qualifies you for your own territory and your proposal is on-theme regarding language and culture of the area. Before looking at the details of your application together, I thought I bring up the issue of climate: UL27g is in the middle of what OpenGeofiction:East Uletha defines as steppe climate, transitioning into desert in the south, just as you indicate on your own map. There are indeed parts of the mediterranean that has this climate (see [1]), but they are on the drier side of what qualifies as mediterranean. Also, since you part of the coast is flat, relatively little rain will be caught there. What I want to say is, realistically the northern coast of your territory will probably look more like southern spain or northern Algeria than, say, Italy or southern France. Again, your map indicates as such, and your population estimate is also fitting this theme, but since your mapping of Dinoburg so far features a pretty wide river and some lush forest areas, I just want to double check if this level of aridity is what you are going for. If it's not, you could still apply for, for example, UL27a∈⊾ƨ. If UL27g is what you are going for, then just give me a go-ahead and I will continue with processing this application. Thanks and best! - Hello Leowezy, thank you for your detailed feedback and for the very interesting climate question. In fact, even though Bolla's riverbed within Dinoburg is pretty wide, it is not that full-flow. When mapping it, I was inspired by the inflow of Túría in Valencia and similar formations in southern/western Spain ([ 39.43091°N, 0.36285°W], [ 36.67673°N, 4.46993°W]). The purpose of this formation is, however, different from the ones it was inspired by. When/if the water from Kaspen sea is being herded backwards into the river (wind direction + minimal tide), it floods smaller islands within the riverbed (mapped as reedbed). As the landscape is flat, even smaller fluctuations in sea level (~1m) let water cover a distance of up to two kilometers, creating a unique fresh-/saltwater natural landscape within the city: similar to mangroves (e.g. [ 1.1099°S, 9.1241°E], [2]), but in a way smaller scale. A network of elevated pathways is planned/in construction here, in order to create a nature experience area (similar to [3]). Long story short, I'm pretty fine with proceeding with the application for UL27g∈⊾ƨ. Nevertheless, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any further questions / feedback / suggestions regarding my mapping. Thank you and kind regards, Dino (talk) 18:53, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
