An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgur or similar)

The CPG is a land shaped by its former kingdoms and republics and city-states that results in a diverse geography. Its climate varies across regions. Offshore tectonic activity sometimes creates waves that send waves towards western the western islands.

In the south a mountain range marks the transition to the Axian Peninsula, while the northwest is dominated by mineral-rich boreal highlands. A long but less steep mountain range connects these two landscapes. The northeast is defined by hills that surround an extinct shield volcano. Green and gentle lands stretch across the western coast. north unfolds into a vast expanse of lakes, swamps, and cave systems. Meteorites form long ago have left behind their craters all over the country. Off the western coast, there is a group of tectonically formed islands (that do not exist yet completely in OGF).

The boreal highlands are a hub for raw materials: oil, gas, ores, gemstones. Said meteorites have scattered cosmic elements across the CPG. The CPG is a leader in radioactivity research, extracting uranium and lead essential for its tech. The same stands for hydrogen.

In the northwest there is an isolated vallais that remained untouched by civilization until the 1970s. This area is now strictly protected for research.

Here the general idea of the CPG's topography with provinces.

Invest - The Noun Project.svgHuman geography
A brief description of the territory demographics, economic development, land occupation, infrastructure and mapping style

The CPG is a modern snd industrialised nation with a highly developed infrastructure with a strong idea in technological advancement. It has a population of 70–130 million, heavily urbanised but spread across a decentralised network of cities and towns. There is no dominant city as multiple urban centers serve different governmental and economic functions.

The CPG is a decentralised federation that consists of former soverign countries that have either voted to join the union or had been annexed that are now provinces. Those former countries joined exist strongly intertwined with eachother. (You can think of it as a bigger Switzerland) Said countries were able to keep their identities and may created mixed identities and have developed further.

As only land route connecting the Axian Peninsula to the rest of East Uletha hence the CPG has invested in transit infrastructure thus making it a major hub for road, rail, and waterway transport.

Nearly the entire nation runs on nuclear energy and hydrogen, with fossil fuels restricted to only industrial use.

The CPG has (aside the normal ones) unique Economy Provinces that allow all sorts of experiments boosting the economy and human knowledge.

Politically the CPG embraces a polycentric model of governance and maintaining their multiple capital cities. One city serves as the internationally recognised capital and hosts national agencies and collective jouristiction. Other regions have the right to have their own laws and regional governmets. The capital has been voted to exist by all provinces.

A brief description of the intended culture and language

  • The CPG was founded in the medevial times by 5 founding countries and is - since - expanding in members until today where I want to start mapping.
  • The volcano I mentioned is a major historical site. It was the battleground where the CPG finally defeated the Kørci, a religiously organised group that had terrorised the region for centuries. Today its a museum and tourist attraction.
  • A massive water canal connects the two coasts serving as a key for trade and transport.
  • The CPG began as a military alliance yet later became a country with is former members now becoming provinces.
  • The country was formed by war, invasions, national identity, and later economic struggles in the whole continent that lead to more countries joining. (I read about "The Great War" in the wiki and I have no idea if the CPG was part of it in any way or if I should consider planing with it)

The country has different languages and ethnic groups. Here are the biggest ones, even though not the only ones -

  • Ъякєқоњ Срөик - Chacicc - Conlang and no connection to real languages - mostly spoken on the west coast and in the centre of the country.
  • Лонґ францэ - French - Real but modified - mostly spoken on the east coast and in the east generally. (I was investigating the region and found out that UL30a (or a part; the border region to Kojo) had been French before so I wanted to continue its legacy)
  • 日本語 - Japanese as it is - mostly spoken in the south because the CPG once took over some regions of a former collapsed state on the peninsula that spoke Japanese (and to keep the idea/intended concept of East Uletha alive)
    • Magyar nyelv - Hungarian as it is - mostly spoken in the boreal highlands and in the historic valleys
    • Übaak nifel - Zurgasc - Conlang and related with Hungarian - also spoken in the boreal hihlands but more south
  • Lenekue vécarolagosse - Vinter - Conlang and a romance language - spoken on the islands offshore the west coast
  • (More are likely to be added, though its a bit stressing to plan all these details only to potentially lose the region because im too slow) (If admin Leowezy is reading this, I would be up to cooperate with your style of architecture and a little bit of integrating Kojoshi in border regions, and connecting the countries in general)

All official languages are equal by all authorities in the country.

The CPG has various names for places/regions/mountains/concepts that exist simultaneously

To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

I started with another account (Geîbo) in which I mapped in Rhododactylia, highways, cliffs tbh I did more planning than actually mapping but it was a process!

Some stuff made with Geîbo (I had some problems with the name formatting and struggeled how the wiki works, it seems to be deleted now?)

https://opengeofiction.net/changeset/1464663 (I worked with a custom hightmap png in the background)

Stuff made with Buuj

https://opengeofiction.net/changeset/1469491, https://opengeofiction.net/changeset/1469595 and the whole peninsula next to it.

The thing is, I held back a bit because I wasn't sure how long it would stay since everyone has access and if I have my place on OGF then I can enforce my own dimensions, guidelines, and sizes. (I have really high quality standards, and Rhododactylia was getting a bit frustrating (Mecyna was ok)) I work with JOSM, QGIS, tables, charts, GIMP, Obsidian!

  • Hello! I am just taking the look and I appreciate the idea of a Cyrllic Conlang, I have noticed a lack of Conlangs using the script so it is nice seeing it be used more! I also looked at your mapping and it looks good! Now I'm just a user leaving a comment, and the coordinators will likely know better, but I must say I like what I'm seeing. Hello Buuj, welcome to OGF and thank you for your territory application! Your application has lots of interesting ideas and seems well thought out. Before we can consider you for a permanent, private territory however, we first need to see some more substantial mapping from you in blue or purple territories. I'd particularly encourage you to obtain a BG territory, where you could then start practicing some of the mapping you intend for your future territory. Note that everything you map in a BG territory can be easily moved to a permanent private territory later on - so the time you spend mapping there is not lost! I'll be following your mapping intently. I'll go ahead and close this territory application. Feel free to reach out in case of any further questions. Best! Leowezy (talk) 10:47, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
