To support your request provide links to areas of OGF mapping which showcase your mapping skill. Mapping relevant to the requested theme & geography is especially useful
The {{coord}} template can optionally be used to link to the OGF map - it results in a nice formatted link. Or you can paste in a URL.

You can check my city, Kingsway in the country of Mecyna (which I have done by myself, excluding some of Tengren, Harbour View and Newport)

For scrapped and unfinished cities - Limestone in the country of Mecyna, and Albany/Kaiteora in the country of Rhododactylia

Discussion for clarification & decision

Hi Blandchips,

Thank you for your application. Please find below remarks I have after having pre-reviewed it:

  • Physical geography/Human geography
    • Usually, for these topics, some kind of draft map is expected so the "project" framework is better understood.
    • AN152e is a small country, about the size of Portugal or Hungary, and located quite south. I'm unsure tiny Singapore or 3-time-bigger Malaysia should be considered as the right inspiration for such territory.
  • History & culture
    • Please have a look at the various help pages available on this Wiki, including Antarephia page if you intend to request a territory on this continent. Antarephia is rather dedicated to conlangs and societies/cultures that do not have a true equivalent in the real world. That's why past colonisation from another continent is usually considered only for specific peripheral regions and for "limited" durations.
    • For various reasons, there are no Polynesians, British and the Early Filipino nor English, Maori and Tagalog in the OGF world. In some cases, equivalents exists for which you can find information on one of the many pages listed on the Help portal.
  • Past mapping
    • Thank you for the links. The overview of the suburbs looks rather realistic but there are some scale issues, such as a 30m-wide train platform and double-track lines with tracks being 50m apart. Please ensure you manage somehow the dimensions and ratio of your mapping artefacts.
    • Please refrain from using real-world names, especially when it comes to commercial names for which the OpenGeofiction:Site_policies are more tightly enforced.

Thank you, --Aiki (talk) 09:23, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
