AR102 - 泠江共和国 Republic of Lingjiang

	Physical geography
	An overview of climate, topography and landscape of the country. It is advised to also create a sketch, you can add a link to this (hosted on imgBB, Postimages or similar, but not imgur.com)

The Republic of Lingjiang is located on the southern coast of North Archanta, with its terrain mainly consisting of coastal plains and hills. There are numerous rivers and lakes of varying sizes within its borders, and the Lingshui River, known as the mother river of the country, runs through the entire territory. It has a tropical climate, characterized by warmth and humidity throughout the year with abundant rainfall. The region's terrain slopes from north to south, and the Lingshui River system is well-developed, with well-protected wetlands along its banks, making it suitable for the coexistence of water town features and modern cities

	History & culture
	A brief description of the intended culture and language

The Republic of Lingjiang has a long history, with its culture rooted in the traditions of the Jiangnan water towns and at the same time embodying a modern and open spirit. Mandarin is the official language, while several local dialects are preserved. Historically, fishing and agriculture formed the economic foundation; with the development of the times, it has evolved into a modern country led by port economy and high-tech industries.

The social culture emphasizes environmental protection and sustainable development, with improved public facilities and a prosperous sports and art culture. Football and basketball are the most popular sports, and traditional music coexists with modern music.

Hello, not an admin, but quite intrigued with your proposal and mapping. Curious, are you aware of the Collab:Huaxia project? Because that project is open to PRC-style mapping, especially with the Loongchuan Urban area you presented. Do you plan to map in Mandarin, or another Chinese dialect?

I know about the Collab:Huaxia project, but I’m not sure whether I can get approval from their admins, so I wanted to try establishing my own territory.However, I’m not sure whether this might conflict with the Huaxia project.

Joining the Huaxia project is likely to be require less effort. For a territory application to be successful you will need to supply a sketch plan to explain how you see the territory being mapped. You will also need to ensure the territory meets the highlighted themes, as defined at OpenGeofiction:Territory application#North and South Archanta (AR102 is "African"). Also example mapping provided should cover a broad range - you need to demonstrate more than urban mapping. Thanks/wangi (talk) 12:48, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

I'll send a message to the admins of the Huaxia Project later. Thanks for your advice—sorry I didn’t know AR102 is an African-themed area! I’ve decided to give up applying for AR102, so you can close this request later.
