Sez-Mareb Rally
The Sez-Mareb Rally (also known as "Sezania-Mareb Rally", "Neo Delta Rally" or simply "Mareb Rally") is an annual rally raid that takes place in Neo Delta. The first edition of the rally ocurred in 1989, and has happen every year since then, usually in December, the beginning of the summer in the country. In 2009, 2013 and 2015 the rally was run twice, with special winter editions in June. The race is open to amateur and professional entries who compete together. The race is an off-road endurance rally and the terrain that the competitors ride is very diverse, changing from forests, to deserts and wetlands, crossing dunes, mud, grass, rocks, and steppes.
The rally is divided into three different stages: Stage 1: Sezania-Plart; Stage 2: Plart-Daimeri; Stage 3: Daimeri-Mareb. All the stages cover a distance of almost 575 kilometers run over three days of competition. Initially open only for cars, since 2015 a motorbike rally was also included.
