I know that Ingerland is the equivalent of the UK, but what are the equivalents of the following countries?

France

Spain

Portugal

Thanks

The equivalent to Spain on this site is Castellan, and Portugal is Florescenta. There is no direct equivalent to France per se, although there are a number of Franquese-speaking countries. The closest parallel I can draw to a "France" is Broceliande in southern Tarephia.

To France parallel, initially I think it was Ataraxie, but currently I agree Broceliande is the best place.

Also mentioning Schwaldia to Germany, and Slavonia to slavic country generally. Still there are countries related to Netherlands, Poland and Russia, but sorry I dont remember wich ones right now, hehehe

For Poland it is Galicja, for Russia Suria (if you can't read cirilic alphabet it is that big country in Uletha). For Netherlands we have Dageland, for Czechia there is Drabantia.

There are also some countries that have a strong similarity to RW countries but are not exactly them. - Antharia (Romania without communism period), Demirhanlı Devleti (Ottoman Empire not collapsed) and many others.

AFAIK the French parallel will be UL141, the future collaborative project planned by the Admins.

There are also some countries that are parallel to regions inhabited by ethnic minorities, for example my Shilesia is the rather obvious ripoff of Upper Silesia but enchanced.

There are also a number of Scandinavian/Nordic analogues: Nordurland seems to be a vast Iceland; Scandmark was the original Scandinavia (Østermark was colonized by whalers from Scandmark); then Vinnmark came along a couple years later and it seems also to be a kind of Scandinavia as well; then there is Karolia, which seems to be Finland, mostly.

I have a small thing with Broceliande being 'France'. In Broceliande's history, it says that "The first Franquese settlers arrived on the southern coast of Broceliande around 1150" which means that the Franquese settlers came from somewhere, rather than the language developing into Franquese in the nation. Then, you cannot forget that other parts of Southern Tarephia, near Broceliande also speak Franquese as the main language. What I am referring to are the nations of Ferran and parts of Tigeria. This makes the situation much more complicated, taking into effect that most other nations that speak Franquese are far overseas, which means that Broceliande will have had to be a colonial power in the past. It is still possible to call Broceliande 'The OGF France', though I would say that it would be pretty difficult to do so.

Honestly, I would go with Ataraxie, but I could also support the Broceliande idea since my country is near it. Ataraxie is simply a more likely candidate taking into account the size, and the proximity to other 'European' nations, like Ingerland, etc.

But if you do want to go with Broceliande as 'France', then the territory directly to the west, Compaglia, would be an 'Italy' per se.

Thanks, Zekiel
