The 3 main Freedemian airports:

  • Sean Bond International Airport, a major airport primarily serving Quentinsburgh and surrounding cities/suburbs
  • Walter Sanderson International Airport, a major airport primarily serving points north of Quentinsburgh, including Mathersburgh, Fort Elwood, Laneston-Vandover, and Malpelo
  • Aeropuerto Ciudad Nature, a minor airport primarily serving Ciudad Nature and Natura state. Mostly business flights and maybe the select regional or international flight with countries that make sense (considering one to Castellan considering slight cultural similarities).

Basically the new Freedemian Airport System plan entails:

  • Commuter rail service from Walter Sanderson International Airport into downtown Quentinsburgh by a dedicated airport commuter rail (was already connected by the subway but it was a ridiculously long ride)
  • FreedemiRail service from Walter Sanderson International Airport north to Laneston-Vandover, Malpelo, and Ciudad Nature and points in between, making Walter Sanderson Intl. the main airport for northern Freedemia (replacing Vandover/Laneston Intl., which will be downgraded to a business airport)
  • Commuter rail service connecting Sean Bond International Airport to Walter Sanderson International Airport by a dedicated airport commuter rail
  • The only domestic flight is a shuttle flight between Sean Bond International Airport and Aeropuerto Ciudad Nature, as sort of a business express flight to downtown Ciudad Nature

This allows for:

  • WSD Intl to specialize as the airport for points N of Quentinsburgh and SBD Intl to specialize as the primary airport for Quentinsburgh proper
  • WSD to be connected to SBD in case of multi-airport transfer
  • Both SBD and WSD to be connected to downtown Quentinsburgh, so that one could still fly into Quentinsburgh through WSD without the inconvenience of a 2 hour subway ride (Vandover-Laneston failed to add any real connectivity to Quentinsburgh, while WSD doesn't have this issue anymore)
  • Aeropuerto Ciudad Nature still gets service as a dedicated business-style shuttle service to/from SBD, as well as very specific dedicated flights
