Hello Boge, In the moment we seek names for the gulfs of the oceans. The gulf east of Mecyna and south of your land you named "East Archantian Sea". Is that a provisorial name? Or can we take it as common name? Or Lavernia Sea? What do you think? --Histor (talk) 23:03, 6 August 2014 (CEST)

Hello Histor. Yes, that is only a provisional name. There is no label yet at the OGF map. I don't want it to be called Lavernia Sea. Even though I'm the most active at that area, I don't want to claim the gulf solely for myself. Maybe you can name it as East Archantian Gulf, instead of sea. I don't know. If there are no more proposals, then I guess we'll use that name. --Boge (talk) 18:27, 6 August 2014

Culture, language, and ethnicity

So far most of us have been using "The World" and making up our own ethnicities based on either real ethnicities or ones related to the ethnicities of our neighbors. We are currently working on building a model of the language groupings and cultures of this world. When using continental terms, the continent names are marked here at Portal:Geography. Use terms like "West Ulethan" or "East Terephian". Here is a handy map that is being worked on at the moment. quick map and being talked about Here: Talk:Portal:World History. I am encouraging everyone to get into the conversation. :) Please don't be offended if I copy paste this into others talk pages. Thank you (talk) 07:26, 9 August 2014 (CEST)

Rockburn Q

Hey, what would you say is the population of Rockburn Island? --Isleño (talk) 09:38, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Maybe around 1,000 people. There is a small residential community (of which can be further expanded) in the island. For the map, I will add some stuff later at that place... --Boge (talk) 02:01, 11 August 2014 (MST)
Thanks! --Isleño (talk) 11:06, 11 August 2014 (CEST)

Embassy Exchange

Since Ardisphere started selling embassy lots, just wondered if you want to establish diplomatic relations and build embassies in each other's capitols? You can have it anywhere you'd like in the Silk Hill, Excelsior or Parliament Hill neighbourhoods in the vicinity of the Excelsior Palace, Parliament and the Royal Bank --Demuth (talk) 21:46, 30 September 2014 (CEST)

Hi Demuth. So I added my embassy at Wiwaxmouthe here: (near the North Silk Hill Station). You can build your embassy in Ergolanyum, near the government buildings. --Boge (talk) 02:49, 1 October 2014 (CEST)
Looks good! Added my embassy in Larvernia here --Demuth (talk) 09:34, 1 October 2014 (CEST)
Thanks. --Boge (talk) 10:22, 1 October 2014 (CEST)

Whoa! Guess I need to change the embassy name, not to mention some of my streets (I think I might even have a New Larvernia village somewhere). Why the name change, may I ask? --Demuth (talk) 18:51, 20 October 2014 (CEST)

Honestly, I don't like the name anymore. Quite a superficial reason, I think. Plus, I found out in Google that the name 'Larvernia' is already used in a movie. I don't know the name of the movie but, it doesn't matter. Every time I think about that name, I think about the movie. 'Rogolnika' is I think, much more neutral term for me.
Don't change anything. I will do the changes in my embassy. Just focus on your own other edits. You can just retain the New Larvernia village; maybe put an Old Larvernia village. --(Boge) (talk) October 20, 2014 @ 10:32 PM

Hi Azaz 0913, yes you can use it. -- Boge (talk) 22:09, 13 August 2016 (CEST)
OK, thank you ! It will be necessary to modify the sentence "The language is not related to-any language in the world" on the wiki page. ;) --Azaz 0913 (talk) 22:20, 13 August 2016 (CEST)
OK, but looking at real languages, Romanian and Portuguese (Latin languages), for example, one can see that similar languages can be very distant geographically. Moreover, I find it useful to link languages to the same continent and create a more complete etymology, but all languages of Western Archanta are colonial (except Byri, Demacian and Eustanese that are not documented and Earëngi).--Azaz 0913 (talk) 12:52, 14 August 2016 (CEST)
You're right about Romanian and Portuguese being similar due to its Latin roots. So, for Kiolari and faltpran to be linguistically related, it must also have a much bigger language group above it (like Romance Languages).
I do agree on linguistic coherence for Northern Archanta since it is still very much undocumented. We can say that "kiolari and faltpran evolved out of "______ Language Family and due to geographic distance, they became mutually intelligible, though some words are similar."...something like that. However, deciding on the name of that language family, and unfortunately due to the unmapped territories in the Mid-Archanta Major, we cannot decide on it yet.
FYI Eustanese from Saneusitania is also a colonial language (see here[[1]]).--Boge (talk) 22:02, 14 August 2016 (CEST)
